- The use of deadly force was legal and justified in the March 19 early morning fatal shooting of Bryan Malinowski by federal agents in his West Little Rock, Arkansas, home, according to Pulaski County Prosecutor Will Jones, who said in a June 14 letter that there would be no charges in the case.
- Mr. Malinowski was executive director of the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock until that morning, when a convoy of 10 law enforcement vehicles entered his upscale neighborhood and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), holding automatic rifles in the ready position, placed tape on his video doorbell, announced their presence, and in less than one minute, broke into the home while he was sleeping. Mr. Malinowski, a gun collector, woke up, grabbed his gun, exchanged gunfire with ATF agents, and Mr. Malinowski was shot dead in front of his wife.
- The ATF had obtained a warrant to search his home for guns and evidence. The agency believed that Mr. Malinowski was selling guns without a $200 Federal Firearms License and without asking buyers for the proper information. According to an affidavit of probable cause, some of the guns that he had sold were recovered during the commission of a crime, although the crimes didn’t involve the direct use of guns.

Putin In North Korea, Solidifies Anti-West Cooperation With Kim
- Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang on his first visit to the country in 24 years. He was greeted with streets decked out in Putin portraits, Russian flags, and banners – one of which read on the side of a building, “We warmly welcome the President of the Russian Federation.”
- Putin in an op-ed piece published in state media just before his arrival said he appreciates North Korea’s firm backing and support related to the Ukraine conflict. - According to a report by the New York Times, groups like the far-left Center for American Progress (CAP) and Never Trump groups such as Principles First are teaming up to prepare lawsuits to stop feared potential crackdowns on illegal immigration and abortion access, and efforts to reducing the size of the federal bureaucracy or use troops to restore order.
- Some things the groups are working on include a conference at New York University next month on “Autocracy in America – A Warning and Response,” making plans on fighting deportation and creating a model for volunteers nationwide to record and intervene in immigration raids, drafting potential lawsuits, and recruiting sympathetic plaintiffs.
- Democrat governors have formed a group called the Reproductive Freedom Alliance to organize resistance to any potential federal actions to limit abortions.
