President Joe Biden claimed Friday that he personally had nothing to do with former President Donald Trump’s recent guilty verdict.
Approached by Fox News’ Peter Doocy outside the White House, he was first asked whether he believed Trump’s conviction might aid him in the upcoming presidential election.
Watch:
“I have no idea,” the president replied.
According to reports, Trump raised over $53 million within the first 24 hours after his conviction Thursday.
Doocy then asked Biden whether he’s worried about turnabout.
“Are you worried this could happen to you someday — somebody comes up with some charges and tries to bring you into court after your term?” he asked.
“Not at all,” the president replied. “I didn’t do anything wrong. The system still works.”
Liar. It’s a fact that he mishandled classified documents but was let off the hook because the special prosecutor handling his case decided he was too senile to prosecute.
It’s also a fact that Biden engaged in a quid pro quo with the former president of Ukraine so as to force the removal of a prosecutor who’d been investigating Burisma, the firm where the current president’s scandal-plagued son had at the time been working.
And finally, Doocy asked the president for his thoughts on Trump’s belief that he’s been “pulling the string behind the scenes doing all of this to help [himself].”
“I didn’t know I was that powerful,” Biden quipped in response.
Never mind that his campaign had held a press conference outside Trump’s trial just days earlier. The conference had been led by notoriously anti-Trump actor Robert De Niro, who’d used his platform to accuse Trump of being a wannabe dictator.

And never mind the fact that former senior Biden Justice Department official Matthew Colangelo was recruited by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg to prosecute the hush money case against Trump.
House Judiciary Committee chair Jim Jordan was so disturbed by the latter finding that he sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland last month demanding answers and accusing the hush money case of being “politicized prosecution.”
“Since last year, popularly elected prosecutors—who campaigned for office on the promise of prosecuting President Trump—engaged in an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority: the indictment of a former President of the United States and current leading candidate for that office,” the letter reads.
“New York County District Attorney (DANY) Alvin Bragg is engaged in one such politicized prosecution, which is being led in part by Matthew B. Colangelo, a former senior Justice Department official. Accordingly, given the perception that the Justice Department is assisting in Bragg’s politicized prosecution, we write to request information and documents related to Mr. Colangelo’s employment,” it continues.
All this comes about half a year after Fox News host Jesse Watters claimed to have uncovered evidence showing the president’s fingerprints all over the myriad of legal cases against Trump, including the one in Manhattan.

“White House visitor logs just released suggest that Joe Biden is personally running the prosecutions of Donald Trump,” Watters began. “The Biden White House was much more involved in the Mar-a-Lago raid than we ever realized.”
“White House visitor logs suggest that the raid itself may have been hatched inside the Biden White House, and the special counsel prosecution on Donald Trump is still being coordinated by the White House,” he added.
As previously reported, Jay Bratt, a Justice Department official turned top aide to Smith, had joined the special counsel in Nov. 2022 before later holding a meeting with the White House counsel’s office deputy chief of staff Caroline Saba on March 31, 2023. On June 8, 2023, Trump was indicted in connection to his handling of documents marked classified.
Watters also made note of the two previous visits from Bratt in the fall of 2021, “while Donald Trump was negotiating with the National Archives.”
“Jay Bratt didn’t want a negotiation,” he said. “Jay Bratt wanted a raid and lobbied the Biden White House to raid Mar-a-Lago. Jay Bratt even visited Mar-a-Lago and told Donald Trump everything was fine. Just put a lock on the basement door.”
“Why is the Biden White House conspiring with the Justice Department and the special counsel’s office to prosecute Donald Trump? Joe Biden personally told us that he had nothing to do with the prosecution and it was totally independent,” he continued.
But Biden evidently lied then just like he’s likely lying now …
