Billionaire hedge fund investor George Soros uses his fortune to bankroll the radical Left.
He has funded the campaigns of countless woke prosecutors who refuse to enforce the law and instead implement soft-on-crime policies.
But the Florida Supreme Court just handed Ron DeSantis another victory against this George Soros-backed prosecutor.
Democrats spent the past several years waging an all-out war on America’s law enforcement officers.
It started with the death of George Floyd in the summer of 2020 when Democrats made “defund the police” their number-one talking point.
Democrats decreased funding for law enforcement on the local level and in many places even shut down entire police departments.
But it is not just the Democrats’ anti-police agenda that is causing crime to skyrocket in America.
George Soros-backed prosecutors have also contributed to the lawlessness in society by implementing pro-criminal policies like cashless bail.
Cities like Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York City, and San Francisco witnessed surging crime after Soros-backed prosecutors supported no cash bail programs and refused to prosecute real crimes.
As part of his law and order agenda, Ron DeSantis has been holding Soros-backed prosecutors responsible in Florida.
Over the past two years, DeSantis fired two woke prosecutors, Andrew Warren and Monique Worrell, for refusing to enforce the law.
Both prosecutors filed lawsuits against DeSantis.
Warren previously lost his lawsuits, but Worrell took hers all the way to the State Supreme Court.
“One’s political agenda cannot trump this solemn duty, refusing to faithfully enforce the laws of Florida puts our communities in danger and victimizes innocent Floridians,” DeSantis said when he suspended Worrell.
DeSantis noted that her policies “have allowed murderers, other violent offenders, and dangerous drug traffickers to receive extremely reduced sentences and escape the full consequences of their criminal conduct.”
And on Monday, the State Supreme Court handed DeSantis another victory when it upheld his suspension of Worrell.
“These include citations to prison admission data from the ninth judicial circuit; briefing reports from the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice; and documents illustrating the alleged harms that the governor argues constitute neglect of duty and incompetence,” the decision read.
“We cannot agree with Worrell that the allegations in the Executive Order are impermissibly vague, nor that they address conduct that falls within the lawful exercise of prosecutorial discretion,” the opinion read.
Six of the seven Justices ruled in DeSantis’ favor.
DeSantis ran as a law and order candidate.
And he is following through on his promise to keep criminals off the street in Florida.
