America’s liberal media is trying to tell us that convicting Donald Trump of 34 felonies was the right decision, but even the type of people who usually agree with them are having trouble agreeing with that logic.
Former President Donald Trump just got support from the most unlikely of places.
Senator Mitt Romney is notoriously known for being an anti-Trumper.
Yet, he has been clear about the fact he believes liberals have crossed a line with the recent conviction of Donald Trump.
Now, Romney fired shots at District Attorney Alvin Bragg, accusing Bragg of “political malpractice.”
“Bragg should have settled the case against Trump, as would have been the normal procedure. But he made a political decision,” Romney said.
“Bragg may have won the battle, for now, but he may have lost the political war. Democrats think they can put out the Trump fire with oxygen. It’s political malpractice,” Romney continued.
Romney has had this opinion for quite some time and has always been vocal about it.
Just a month prior to releasing his statement about Alvin Bragg, Romney sat down with MSNBC to share his opinion on Trump’s charges.
“Had I been President Biden, when the Justice Department brought on indictments, I would have immediately pardoned him. Because it makes me, President Biden, the big guy and the person [who] pardoned a little guy,” Romney said during the MSNBC interview.
Romney, regardless of his opinion about Donald Trump, is right on the money about everything he has said.
Braggs should be held accountable for what he chose to do to Donald Trump in the “hush money” trial.
Romney is also right when it comes to his strategy about Biden pardoning Trump.
Alas, that will never happen while Joe Biden is breathing.
Unlike Romney, it seems Biden is incapable of looking past any personal feelings he has about Trump to focus on the bigger picture.
For Trump’s next move, he has promised to appeal the verdict and refused to give up fighting, saying that “we’re fighting for our Constitution.”
