A missing 15-year-old girl who vanished on Sunday might have gone to meet an online acquaintance.
Iza Rodriguez reportedly left her San Antonio home and left a back door open. Her sister told KENS that the teen took some items with her but left without clothes or her phone.
Rodriguez’s sister reportedly inspected the phone and learned Rodriguez was talking with someone online. The family suspects the person Rodriguez was talking to had posed as a juvenile, according to KENS.
Rodriguez’s family said they have not gotten any information from the missing teen’s friends regarding her whereabouts, WOAI reported.
“She’s never been gone this long. She’s never not talked to anyone this long. This is unlike her at this point,” her sister told the news outlet.
Rodriguez was described as being 5 feet, 3 inches tall and having black hair. Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Antonio Police Department at 210-207-7660.
