Democrats finally got their wish.
Donald Trump was found guilty Thursday on all 34 counts in Alvin Bragg’s New York trial.
But Ron DeSantis explained how Donald Trump is not the only one suffering from Alvin Bragg’s lawfare.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg placed Donald Trump on trial for allegedly falsifying business records for a payment to Stormy Daniels as part of a nondisclosure agreement.
Bragg twisted the law to accuse Trump of falsifying business records to interfere in the 2016 election when he listed the payment as a legal expense.
Even though Bragg’s entire case was based on a far-fetched legal theory with no basis, Donald Trump did not stand a chance in a courtroom led by a Democrat judge with an all-Democrat jury who voted for Joe Biden.
And on Thursday, the all-Democrat jury convicted Donald Trump on all 34 of Alvin Bragg’s sham charges.
Trump is scheduled to appear back in court on July 11 to hear Judge Merchan’s sentencing.
After the verdict, Donald Trump called out Joe Biden for using lawfare against him.
“This was done by the Biden administration in order to hurt an opponent, a political opponent, and I think it’s just a disgrace,” Trump said, before adding that it was a “rigged decision right from day one, with a conflicted judge who should have never been allowed to try this case, never.”
But Trump was not the only Republican outraged over the verdict.
In a post on X, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis defended his former opponent and slammed Joe Biden for weaponizing the justice system. “Today’s verdict represents the culmination of a legal process that has been bent to the political will of the actors involved: a leftist prosecutor, a partisan judge, and a jury reflective of one of the most liberal enclaves in America—all in an effort to ‘get’ Donald Trump,” DeSantis wrote.
DeSantis pointed out how the incident was “from nearly a decade ago” and the fact that it even went to trial “is a testament to the political debasement of the justice system in places like New York City.”
The Governor then brought up how Donald Trump is not the only one being punished by Alvin Bragg’s lawfare.
New York residents are dealing with a massive illegal immigration problem as well as skyrocketing crime rates.
DeSantis called out Bragg for going after Trump while allowing real criminals to terrorize the citizens.
“This is especially true considering this same district attorney routinely excuses criminal conduct in a way that has endangered law-abiding citizens in his jurisdiction,” DeSantis said.
“It is often said that no one is above the law, but it is also true that no one is below the law,” DeSantis wrote. “If the defendant were not Donald Trump, this case would never have been brought, the judge would have never issued similar rulings, and the jury would have never returned a guilty verdict,” he continued. “In America, the rule of law should be applied in a dispassionate, even-handed manner, not become captive to the political agenda of some kangaroo court.”

Republicans rallied behind Donald Trump following the verdict like they did when he was forced to take a mugshot in Fulton County.
Trump has already raised $34.8 million from small-dollar donors since the guilty verdict.
Nearly 30% were first-time donors to Trump’s campaign.
Americans can see through Joe Biden’s lawfare.
