White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre suffered through another brutal day at the office.
Jean-Pierre doesn’t like – nor is she used to – facing real questions.
And Karine Jean-Pierre wanted to run and hide after one humiliating performance.
A recent set of New York Times/Siena polls found Donald Trump leading Joe Biden in five of six battleground states.
But what really set off alarm bells in the Biden campaign was the fact that Trump led Biden 46 to 43 percent with voters ages 18 to 29.
Four years ago, Biden won this cohort 60 to 36 percent.
Biden did what every Democrat does when they are in trouble, which is throw a bunch of taxpayer money at a problem and attempt to buy votes.
That’s why Biden recently announced another tranche of illegal student loan bailouts bringing the total number of borrowers who had their debt wiped out up to nearly 5 million Americans.
“Today, my Administration is canceling student debt for 160,000 more people, bringing the total number of Americans who have benefitted from our debt relief actions to 4.75 million,” Biden declared.
“Each of those borrowers has received an average of over $35,000 in debt cancellation,” Biden continued.
Biden stole money from the Treasury to force Americans who either didn’t go to college or who played by the rules to pay back their loans.
Normally Democrats can expect the press to ignore any shady vote-buying schemes.
This time was different.
NBC’s Peter Alexander pressed Jean-Pierre on the unfairness of the fact that Joe Biden stuck Americans who didn’t go to college with the check for those who did.
“— now for the 4.7 million Americans who have received this debt relief, the averages, you said, at the start of this —” Alexander began.
“Yeah. About 35,000,” Jean-Pierre responded, confirming that Joe Biden essentially wrote a $35,000 check to student loan borrowers.
Alexander wanted to know if Americans who didn’t go to college could also expect a $35,000 check from Joe Biden.
“— this was $35,000 their relief has been for, so I guess why don’t those individuals who didn’t receive $35,000 in debt cancellation deserve a $35,000 check from other Americans for what other means they would want to use it?” Alexander asked.
Jean-Pierre was caught completely flat-footed on having to answer a real question about Biden’s lawless student loan bailout.
“You’re talking about the — ” a dumbfounded Jean-Pierre replied.
Alexander confirmed he was asking about how Joe Biden could justify forcing Americans who didn’t go to college to pay the student loans for college graduates.
“The people who didn’t go to college, so they’re not getting debt relief — the $35,000 that they don’t get because they didn’t go,” Alexander wondered.
Jean-Pierre declared it was because college graduates “bet on themselves” that taxpayers should pick up the check for their debt.
But betting on yourself involves a risk.
And that means paying your debts.
Joe Biden doesn’t care about rules, fair play or even the Constitution as the Supreme Court already overturned one iteration of his student loan bailout scheme.
All Biden cares about is winning the election and if he needs to rob from Americans who didn’t go to college because they typically vote for Donald Trump to buy the votes of college graduates then he is fine with that.
