Governor Kathy Hochul has done such a terrible job running New York State that New Yorkers are starting to miss the days of the very unpopular Andrew Cuomo.
Hochul barely survived re-election in the dark blue state and since then has worked to divide the state even further along identity politics lines.
And now Governor Hochul is making one unconstitutional move to bar a specific group from bidding on this multi-billion-dollar project.
Identity politics run amok in blue states
One of the biggest lies of the Left is that America is supposedly “systemically racist.”
Before deciding if the United States is systemically racist, there has to be agreement on what the term means.
The Merian-Webster dictionary defines “systemic racism” as “The oppression of a racial group to the advantage of another as perpetuated by inequity within interconnected systems (such as political, economic, and social systems).”
There is not a single federal law that oppresses any minority groups in favor of white people.
However, blue states across the country are pushing for laws that advantage the Left’s favorite voting blocs at the expense of straight, white, men.
Political efforts like reparation pushes in states like California and New York, for example, clearly violate equal protection rights.
And now New York’s Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul has found a new way to punish white, male New Yorkers.
White men need not apply in NYC
In 2022 the Family Destination Guide named New York City’s JFK International Airport one of the worst airports in the world.
NYC officials are hoping to change that with a massive $2.3-Billion renovation project.
Contractors in the Big Apple are salivating at the opportunity to land huge pay days by scoring portions of the renovations.

However, Governor Hochul effectively sent a message to any contracting companies owned by white men that they need not apply.
“New York remains committed to providing travelers with a premier experience that includes world-class amenities and record involvement by local minority and women-owned businesses will ensure just that,” Governor Hochul said via press release. “This transformative project uplifts these businesses and deepens investments in the community while bolstering the state workforce.”

Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex and national origin.
But Hochul and other Democrat officials in the Empire State don’t believe those protections apply to white men.
These Leftists are excluding white men from public opportunities and somehow doing so in the name of “inclusivity.”
Self-proclaimed “social justice warriors” believe they’re combating racism – even if it mostly exists in their own head.
However, their remedy to racism is to be racist in the other direction.
Dr. Thomas Sowell said it best:
“The basic problem is that a racist past cannot be undone through more racism.”
