New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has drawn attention to allegations surrounding the confiscation of Pat Tillman’s personal journals by the U.S. government following his death from friendly fire in Afghanistan in 2004.
He pointed to this government intervention during a recent interview with former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson.
Breitbart News highlighted that Rodgers raised the issue of government officials reportedly taking Tillman’s journals after the former Arizona Cardinal player was fatally shot in the Afghan mountains.
Rodgers, who described Tillman as one of his heroes, asserted that the circumstances surrounding his demise were “very suspicious.”
Rodgers acknowledged that Tillman died as a result of friendly fire, however, suggested that doubts emerged following his death.
He particularly called out “the way they handled his body afterward, his uniform, confiscating his last journal. Using his death to prop up the war propaganda.”
Rodgers boldly declared that numerous heroes in American history have openly challenged the government. Carlson then swiftly interrupted, expressing his disbelief of the story entirely.
The former Fox host stated he was unfamiliar with the narrative regarding the government confiscating Tillman’s journal, to which Rodgers affirmed, “his uniform was burned, and his journal was confiscated.”
“That’s in Jon Krakauer’s book, ‘Where Men Win Glory,’ which is a fantastic book,” he added.
The Jets quarterback then elaborated more on Tillman’s tragic demise, recounting how he was shot by his own comrades after becoming separated from them. Mistakenly identifying each other as Taliban members, they opened fire, he explained.
Rodgers highlighted the Tillman incident to underscore the plight of many patriotic individuals who feel disillusioned with their country, asserting they’ve been “betrayed by their leaders.”
Carlson notably echoed this sentiment.
The interview with Rodgers has made its rounds on social media since its initial airing, with conservatives sharing key highlights from the exchange.
TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk shared one moment where Rodgers mocked President Joe Biden.
“I’d love to see Joe Biden give an interview where he can speak on the history of the United States in the same way Putin talked about the history of [Russia,]” Rodgers said.
Carlson jokingly replied, “I’d love to see Biden do an interview where he shows how to operate a microwave.”
The Vigilant Fox further detailed this exchange by outlining the segway from Biden, who “can’t even walk” and “sh*ts his pants every now and then,” to Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy who “looks like he’s going to be in the Village People music video.”
Trending Politics co-owner Collin Rugg shared a clip of Rogers calling out NFL “stooges” who tried to push the Covid-19 vaccination on him and his teammates.
“It’s all about the money. And as you get into this, you realize if you wanna know what’s really going on, not just in big pharma, but in government, is follow the money,” Rodgers said.
“Even in the NFL, I mean there was a strong push. They sent stooges out to every team to try and enforce a vaccination level above 90% of every team with zero exemption,” he continued. “Just get this so that we look good because big pharma ad spend is humongous.”
Resist the Mainstream reported last week on another Carlson interview where he sat down with Biden sexual assault accuser Tara Reade who moved to russia seeking political asylum.
“I think it’s a credible story,” Carlson said at one point of that conversation, asking “but what did you do wrong?”
“I think not shutting up,” Reade replied. “I just wouldn’t stop talking.”
