Alvin Bragg’s bogus hush money trial against President Donald Trump is crumbling right in front of his face.
Right after Trump’s ex-aide, whom the prosecutors present as a “key witness,” defended him in front of the jury, now Bragg’s paralegal Jade Jarmel-Schneider testified under oath that their office meddled with the evidence and deleted a portion of phone records between convicted liar Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniel’s lawyer Keith Davidson without informing the defendants.
Jarmel-Schneider, during the cross-examination, admitted to Trump’s attorney, Emil Bove, that their office deliberately erased at least three pages worth of the 2018 phone recording between Davidson and Cohen.
He said, “My understanding is the decision was always going to be that we would admit the part of the call summaries related to what had come out in trial.”
Moreover, phone recordings between Daniel’s manager Gina Rodriguez and former National Enquirer editor Dylan Howard detailing the pornstar’s claim of the affair were also edited.
Instead of the original recording, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office submitted an altered version of the calls.
Tampering with evidence is a felony under New York law.
Donald Trump Jr. was outraged by the recent developments.
He wrote on X, “How on earth is this not a felony committed by Bragg and his minions? It sure would be if team Trump did it.”
Just submitting altered evidence to court without informing the defense team raises questions about the integrity of the prosecution team.
Trump’s former lawyer, Cohen, started his testimony on Monday.
According to prosecutors, their sham trial is nearing its end after spending four straight weeks in court.
As their star witness finishes his testimony, the jury is expected to present their decision on whether the prosecutors were able to prove that Trump did falsify business records to influence the 2016 elections.
Bragg, along with other Biden’s minions, pledged to get Trump and indicted him on 34 counts of falsifying business records related to his alleged hush money payments to the adult film performer Stormy Daniels.
Before Bragg’s lawsuit against Trump, Cohen, who was a convicted perjurer, made the allegations and presented 11 checks, invoices, and vouchers related to the charges.
Trump’s lawyers maintained that those were attorney’s fees, while the prosecution insisted that they were just categorized as legal expenses to cover up the payments meant to pay off Daniels.
Several law experts have weighed in on the case, including retired Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz, who questioned Bragg’s premise.
Dershowitz believes that the Manhattan District Attorney acted on an invalid legal premise because he has cited federal statutes where the Empire State has no jurisdiction.
