Tourism is the lifeblood of Florida’s economy, drawing millions of visitors to the state each year.
Now Joe Biden is continuing his petty feud against the Sunshine State.
And Ron DeSantis demolished the Biden administration for this terrible attack on tourism.
Florida and the Biden administration battling over red snapper fishing
Red snappers are some of the most delicious and popular fish for anglers in Florida.
These small rosy red colored fish weigh up to 35 pounds, but generally weigh much less, and are commonly found in the reefs off the coast of Florida.

They have become one of the most popular catches for recreational fishermen and charter boats in the Sunshine State.
But there has been a battle brewing between Florida and the Biden administration over the management of the red snapper population.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAA Fisheries) concluded that they were overfished in 1988.
And they began restricting their catch.
The population of red snappers had been rebuilt in the waters off Florida but there’s a tension between the state and the NOAA Fisheries over their management.
Florida took control of the management of the red snapper population in the Gulf of Mexico while the NOAA Fisheries maintained control in the Atlantic Ocean.
Last year, the Sunshine State had its longest season yet for fishing them, while anglers were restricted to two days in the Atlantic.
Ron DeSantis slams the federal government for rescripting red snapper fishing
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that this year the state would have its longest-ever recreational season of red snapper fishing in the Gulf of Mexico at 103 days.
“I am proud to announce that this snapper season will be the longest season since our state took over red snapper management in the Gulf,” DeSantis said. “Florida is proud to be the Fishing and Boating Capital of the World.”
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Executive Director Roger Young said that red snapper season was a national draw for the state.
“Anglers from all over the country look forward to Gulf recreational red snapper season and the iconic fishing opportunities Florida provides yearly,” Young said.
DeSantis maintains that there are abundant red snapper in the Atlantic Ocean to expand the fishing season.
“I talked to people here on this coast,” DeSantis said. “There are snapper there. Like the data, like what the feds do is not an accurate reflection, and it was the same thing with the Gulf, even though the Gulf had a little bit more access compared to what the feds were doing.”
He accused the NOAA Fisheries of having no idea what was going on with the population.
“So, I was like, you know, this data is not accurate,” DeSantis continued. “The people are there, they see the fish, I mean, they’re there. So why don’t we go and actually do this in a way that makes sense?”
The Florida Governor said that he talked to fishermen on the Atlantic coast who told him that there is plenty of red snapper.
But the Biden administration is stubbornly ignoring the facts to the detriment of fishermen.
