Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump once again delivers a massive blow against Joe Biden as he widens the gap against his rival by as much as 12% against Biden in battleground states.
Trump, who was celebrating a huge turnout in New Jersey, received another piece of good news after The New York Times, Siena College, and The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that he was leading in five key swing states against Biden, signaling the possibility of his return to the Oval Office.
According to the Times/Siena/Inquirer survey, the former president was ahead of Biden in Arizona with a 49 percent to 42 percent rating, Georgia by 10 percent, Michigan by 42 percent, Nevada by 12 percent, and Pennsylvania by 12 percent among registered voters.
Biden holds on to Wisconsin with a mere two percent lead.
The pollster noted that they gathered similar results when they included independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and other minority candidates.
RFK Jr. received an average of ten percent of votes among the six states.
Major factors influencing the polling results were the economy and the ongoing Israel and Hamas war in Gaza. According to the media outlet, the discovery hasn’t moved since last year’s survey.
Contrary to Biden’s claims that the economy is improving, more than half of the respondents think it’s poor.
Trump also gained an additional 20 percent of black voters, the highest received by any Republican presidential candidate since the ratification of the Civil Rights Act of 1965 among black voters.
Around 70 percent of the respondents believe the country needs major political and economic change (or even to be torn down entirely).
One respondent, Jennifer Wright, a registered nurse in Michigan, claims she supported Trump in 2016 and 2020, and for her, this coming election boils down to the question, “Who is the best candidate who is going to help me be in a financial situation to retire?”
“Even me, as a registered nurse, I’m buying Kroger brand or store brand. I’m not buying Jif. We’ve all had to cut back,” she said.
Even systems engineer Jacob Sprague, who voted for Biden in 2020, said he won’t vote for a Democrat this time.
“It is concerning to me when I keep seeing the press come out of the White House where they keep saying the economy is good,” Sprague remarked.
“That’s really weird because I’m paying more on taxes and more on groceries and more on housing and more on fuel. So that doesn’t feel good.”
Meanwhile, President Biden recently had an epic battle with his teleprompter on Monday at a reception celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. During his speech, he admits he is working for VP Kamala Harris because he “needed somebody smarter” than him.
