Concerns over President Joe Biden’s flailing response to the Israel-Hamas war had commentator Katie Pavlich singling out the checkered past of one adviser promoted after the Oct. 7 terror attack.
Americans feeling their rights be eroded as the value of their hard-earned dollars evaporated under the current administration have grown keenly aware that the president’s “word as a Biden” didn’t amount to a net benefit. The same could be said when applying his claims of supporting Israel with the United States’ official actions amid escalating Middle Eastern hostilities.
Enter Maher Bitar, previously Senior Director for Intelligence Programs for Biden’s National Security Council and now the NSC’s Coordinator for Intelligence and Defense Policy as well as Deputy Assistant to the President.
“After protecting thousands of Hamas terrorist in the southern Gaza City of Rafah last week and kneecapping Israeli’s ability to win the war against the Iranian backed group,” wrote Pavlich, “it’s becoming clear who is driving President Joe Biden’s betrayal of Israel and rewarding those who carried out the horrific October 7 attacks.”
Some background on Bitar was laid out by Noor Dahri, executive director of the Islamic Theology of Counter Terrorism, who posted to X, “Maher Bitar has been appointed as president of #Biden’s special counsel. He also serves as the director of intelligence and defense programs in the #UnitedStates National Security Council.”
“Of course, he was already appointed by the Obama administration, where he managed the ‘Israeli-Palestinian case’. Before that, as a student, he was the president of the #Islamist extremist and #antisemitic organisation SJP (Students for Justice in Palestine) at Georgetown University in #USA,” continued the ITCT leader. “#SJP is the most violent student organisation in the United States against #Jews today.”

Author Joshua Rosner shared an image said to be Bitar from his 2006 Georgetown Yearbook dressed in black with his fist held aloft while a sign in the background read “DIVEST FROM ISRAELI APARTHEID.”

“More recently,” Pavlich said of the anti-Israel group, “SJP has been leading the violent pro-Hamas protests and harassment of Jewish students on campuses across the country.”
Like Secretary of State Antony Blinken, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, and now-former Domestic Policy Council Director Susan Rice, Bitar was a holdover from former President Barack Obama’s administration who used his time between Democrat White Houses as general counsel for House Intelligence Committee Democrats during the first impeachment of then-President Donald Trump.
In case his background working with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Jerusalem wasn’t sufficient to show his connection to globalist causes, Bitar acted as deputy to Samantha Powers during her time on Obama’s NSC before she was appointed as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
Further, he worked closely with Jake Sullivan during their shared time at the State Department, and Sullivan was responsible for his January promotion to his current role.
As had been covered, One America News Network host Chanel Rion had done her own breakdown of Sullivan’s role as “proxy president,” foisting the blame for the attack on Israel by Iran-backed Hamas on the Obama and Hillary Clinton crony who served as the point man for the Iran nuclear deal.
Bitar also pushed for international law to settle the conflict over the state of Israel when he was a young participant at the World Economic Forum in 2008.
