LOWELL, MA – A woman, a child, and a man were found dead inside of an apartment in Lowell, Massachusetts, in what the Middlesex District Attorney’s office described as an apparent murder-suicide. The shocking discovery was made early on Saturday morning after the local police received a 911 call from a male occupant of the Warren Street apartment.
Police authorities shared that the caller disclosed his intentions, stating he had shot his wife and child and was in possession of firearms. When they arrived at the scene, officers came across the lifeless bodies of an adult woman, a female child, and a man believed to have died by suicide.
The specific identities of the deceased individuals are yet to be disclosed by the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
Earlier in the day, an increased police presence was observed on Warren Street as word spread about the ongoing death investigation. Authorities were quick to assure concerned locals that the event seemed to be an isolated incident and that they did not believe that any immediate threat was posed to public safety.
The matter is still under investigation by the authorities, and no further details are available at this time about the case.
