Former Trump attorney and alleged “fixer” Michael Cohen took to the social media platform X to dispute a report from ABC News that he is “cashing in on the Trump trial.”
“More sh*t, tabloid reporting,” said the man widely seen as a star witness for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s trumped up criminal hush money case against former President Donald Trump.
“As he awaits his turn to take the witness stand, Cohen has discussed Trump, the ongoing trial, and the testimony already underway during nightly livestreams on TikTok which appear to be earning him financial benefit through viewers’ donations,” ABC News reported after viewing hours of his streams.
The article shares a remark Cohen made on Tuesday: “Trump 2024? More like Trump 20-24 years.”
Apparently, Cohen is not breaking any court order — Trump is the only who has been hit with a gag order — but his remarks hurt what little credibility he has as a witness, according to experts.
Now that he has been called out, Cohen said in a statement to the network that today is a new day.
“I am not the defendant in this criminal matter and am not the subject of Judge Merchan’s gag order. Donald is,” Cohen said. “Nevertheless, I elected, out of respect to the court and the prosecutors, to cease commenting on Trump and this matter; which I have done.”
Cohen said the same thing last week about posts on X:
Despite not being the gagged defendant, out of respect for Judge Merchan and the prosecutors, I will cease posting anything about Donald on my X (formerly Twitter) account or on the Mea Culpa Podcast until after my trial testimony. Surprisingly, Cohen has somewhat of a following online — then again, he’s member of the Hate Trump fraternity and some are concerned that Cohen may get in the way of a guilty verdict for Trump.
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
As they make money off or YOU. Can’t make this stuff up.

What happened to not being on social media for a month or more? Maybe you need a program if you can’t control yourself-addicted maybe? Just stop…you will be blamed if trump is acquitted
