Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) deserves credit for admitting that the left’s rabid anti-Semitism is bad for the progressive brand, but she served it up with a side of race-baiting that “false accusations of anti-Semitism are wielded against people of color.”
The prog reaction to Israel’s military operation to eliminate the threat from the Hamas terror organization has been a real eye-opener to Americans who have watched in horror as anti-Semitism erupted on college campuses, in the streets, and from AOC’s fellow “Squad” members in the halls of Congress.
On Monday, the left-wing diva hosted a live-streamed discussion called “Antisemitism and the Fight for Democracy” on the X platform, acknowledging that the Jew-hatred expressed by a portion of her party’s base has “undermined” the larger progressive cause of an authoritarian green socialist utopia.
“Anti-semitism, hate, and violence against Jews because of their identity is real, and it is dangerous. It is also important to say here in this moment and during that conversation that criticism of the Israeli government is not inherently anti-Semitic and criticism of Zionism is not automatically antisemitic,” she said.
“When the Jewish community is threatened, the progressive movement is undermined,” AOC added. “That’s why it’s so important that we reject it as fiercely as we reject and look for misogyny, Islamophobia, or any form of bigotry and discrimination in any space that we occupy.”
“At the same time, it is also true that accusations and false accusations of anti-Semitism are wielded against people of color and women of color by bad-faith political actors,” Ocasio-Cortez said, acting as though the inflammatory anti-Semitic rhetoric from Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Cori Bush (D-MO) are merely figments of people’s imagination.
“And weaponizing antisemitism is used to divide us and create a false choice between the fight for Jewish safety and the calls for Palestinian self-determination. Defending and standing for the rights of Palestinians is not anti-Semitic, and we must be able to identify when bad-faith political actors make accusations simply to divide us,” she added. “People can disagree bitterly about Israel and Gaza, but it has felt that we’ve been at a point where even coming together to acknowledge and discuss any antisemitism at all can feel impossible.”
Critics reacted to her hypocritical spiel.
You’re one of the biggest antisemites in Congress.

Being lectured by AOC about Jew Hate is like going to a Sinwar (hamas) speech on women’s rights.

Sorry, but calling out the explicit antisemitism of your fellow squad members is not “weaponizing” antisemitism against black or brown people. Its pointing straight at shameless, unapologetic bigots and acknowledging them for the blatant racists that they are.

How dare you! This is gaslighting at its finest. You have spent eight months feeding antisemitism and now you want to claim you care! Shameful.

“She is one of the most dangerous people because people are fooled by her,” said Dov Hikind, a former Democrat member of the New York State Assembly who joined the Republican party last year.
“She’s part of the radical extremists of the Democratic Party,” Hikind told Fox News Digital. “It’s why so many people are leaving the Democratic Party. It’s why so many people are not going to vote for the Democratic Party, for Biden or anyone else. I am convinced of that, that this will be an historic year in terms of Jews moving away from the Democratic Party, historic. People like Ocasio-Cortez, she contributes to the hate. She makes things more dangerous – really, really sad.”
