A chilling video has emerged showing screaming children fleeing in terror as a transgender sex offender allegedly attempted to abduct one of them from a Colorado elementary school.
The surveillance footage, which led to the arrest of Solomon Galligan, 33, was initially shared with families of the children involved in the frightening incident.
Resist The Mainstream reported last week on the incident that occurred shortly before 2:30 pm at Black Forest Hills Elementary.
Galligan purportedly approached children who were playing on the field with an apparent focus on one specific child.
The Post Millennial’s (TPM) senior editor Andy Ngo delved into Galligan’s past, noting that the suspect had identified as transgender at a point in time, and that he has had previous run-ins with the law.
The New York Post reports that one parent, Dante White, said it was “incredibly difficult” to watch the footage, which disturbingly confirmed the harrowing experience his child had described. “This is something that you fear as a parent.”
“They’re in the custody of adults that are supposed to be trained professionals, and they weren’t. They categorically failed across the board, from the administration on site to the administration at Cherry Creek to the heads of security,” he added.
The footage confirms what 9News reported last week, as it showcases Galligan holding a blanket walking beside a fence as more than a dozen young students innocently play outside during recess.
The kids soon run away as the suspected abductor runs toward them. Previously released documents state the children screamed “stranger danger” while fleeing.
The child nearly abducted recounted to police that Galligan reeked of alcohol and had white powder smeared on his face at the time of the incident.
Footage captures Galligan closing in on one of the children, stumbling as he lunges toward the child with the blanket. Police documents state the suspect briefly had a hold of the child but lost his grip when he fell.
Galligan was eventually apprehended at a nearby Walgreens and charged with one count of attempted kidnapping.
One mother told CBS News, “This has changed his life forever, and my life.”
A father told the outlet, “We want an independent investigation of it, we want people put on administrative leave, we want people fired.”
CCSD Public Information Officer Lauren Snell said, “We are doing a thorough investigation. We’re looking at exactly what happened and what transpired afterwards as well. We take safety as a high priority.”
Ngo revealed that Galligan, in addition to identifying as transgender at one time, was convicted of nonconsensual sexual contact in 2011. It was also discovered that the suspect had attended cosmetology school.
“im starting my hormone shots and i relly cant wait im on my hormone pills ive been on them for almost 4 months,” Galligan shared on Facebook in 2011.
“i wake up all depressed and crying but in the end its gonna be totally worth it you know what io mean im really excited my measurements are already changing and im super thrilled,” he added.
Galligan has shared numerous images on social media wearing wigs and makeup, accompanied by friends referring to him as “girl.” However, his last update was posted in 2018, leaving uncertainty regarding his current gender identity.
TPM states media reports, including the New York Post, as evident in its most recent article on Galligan, consistently identify the suspect as a man.
