House Republicans are reportedly looking to give anti-Israel college protesters a taste of their own medicine.
Tennessee Republican Rep. Andy Ogles, along with Reps. Randy Weber (R-Texas) and Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) are putting forth the “Antisemitism Community Service Act,” aimed at delivering a reality check to “pro-Hamas” campus activists by shipping them straight to Gaza for community service if they are convicted of unlawful activity.
Pro-Palestinian protests and encampments have spread from Columbia University to New York University, UCLA, Yale, and George Washington University, often turning violent as activists take over spaces and make demands. House Republicans behind the proposed legislation feel talk is cheap and rioters and agitators should be given an opportunity to prove their sincerity to the cause.
“Any person convicted of unlawful activity on the campus of an institution of higher education beginning on and after October 7, 2023, shall be assigned to Gaza for the purpose of providing community service… for a period not fewer than six months,” the proposed bill reads.

The text of the bill does not mention Israel or the anti-Israel groups, but it refers to activities on college campuses occurring after Oct. 7, 2023, which is the date when Hamas terrorists attacked Israel and killed over 1,000 people.
“Students have abandoned their classes to harass other students and disrupt campus-wide activities, including university commencement ceremonies nationwide. Enough is enough,” Ogles, who introduced the bill on Wednesday, told Fox News Digital.
“That’s why I introduced legislation to send any person convicted of unlawful activity on the campus of an American university since Oct. 7, 2023, to Gaza to complete a minimum of six months of community service,” he added.
“My message is clear: if you’re a student visa holder rioting AGAINST American values and FOR Hamas terrorists, you can go study abroad in Gaza,” Ogles wrote in a post on X.
“Enough is enough!!!” he wrote in another post, tagging X owner Elon Musk who polled social media users last week.
“Proposed law: if someone tears down the American flag and puts up another flag in its place, that person should get a free (but mandatory) one-way trip to that flag’s country,” Musk wrote in the post with over 40 million views.
“I’m not saying they can’t come back, but they have to experience that country for some period of time before returning,” he added.

“Proud to join @RepOgles to introduce a bill that would send any person charged & convicted for illegal activity on a college campus in Gaza for at least six months,” Rep. Weber wrote. “I am going to bet that these pro-Hamas supporters wouldn’t last a day, but let’s give them the opportunity.”

The bill comes amid another proposed measure to cancel the visas of foreign students who are involved in the riots and demonstrations.
“If you come to America on a student visa and support a terrorist organization like Hamas, then you are in violation of your visa,” Rep. Duncan wrote on X. “We do not need Hamas sympathizers on American soil breaking our laws and influencing our youth to hate America and freedom. You riot on behalf of a terrorist organization, then say goodbye to your visa.”
