Kate Middleton made headlines earlier this year when the Princess of Wales revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer.
Yet while Middleton has vowed to fight the disease, a new report suggests that has given up on another member of the royal family.
Harry and Middleton said to have a “broken” relationship
In an article published on Friday, the New York Post quoted former royal butler Grant Harrold as saying that the relationship between Middleton and brother-in-law Prince Harry is “broken.”
Nor is Middleton the only figure whom Harry has apparently become estranged from, as evidenced by a recent trip he took to the United Kingdom.

While Harry was back in Britain to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, a representative confirmed that there would be no meeting with his father due to the king having a “full” schedule.
What’s more, the Post also reported last week that no members of the royal family have officially acknowledged the fifth birthday of Harry’s eldest child, Prince Archie.
Author claims that Prince William is keeping Harry from “ailing wife”
“I always used to say I think there is a possibility, but as time goes on and the more we hear and see, I’m thinking that a reunion between them is more and more unlikely,” Harrold told the Post.
“I always thought Kate would have been the one between them that would have broken that because she had a good relationship with Harry,” he continued.
“However, as time goes on, I think that happening is becoming less and less likely,” added Harrold, who spent seven years working for King Charles before he ascended to the throne.
The Post also pointed to a claim recently put forward by royal author Christopher Andersen that Prince William is not letting “his brother anywhere near his ailing wife.”
Williams says Kate is “doing well”
The Post reported that for his part, William provided an impromptu update regarding his wife’s condition during a visit to the Isles of Scilly’ St. Mary’s Community Hospital on Friday.
When asked by hospital administrator Tracy Smith how the princess is doing, William responded by saying, “She’s doing well, thank you.”
Smith then asked about the couple’s children, which prompted the prince to remark that they “are very jealous that I’m here and that they’re not here as well.”
