Creed 3 actor Jonathan Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, released a series of text messages between the movie star and his girlfriend in an attempt to exonerate him.
Chaudhry described the exchange as the alleged victim “admitting that she was the one who used physical force against [Majors].”
Majors was arrested March 25 in New York following a domestic dispute which landed the actor’s girlfriend in the hospital with wounds on her head and neck.
The NYPD initially charged the Ant-Man 3 star with strangulation, assault, and harassment.
According to the criminal complaint filed less than a week ago, Majors allegedly struck his accuser “about the face with an open hand” which left her with “a laceration behind her ear.” The initial complaint also alleges that Majors “put his hand on her neck, causing bruising and substantial pain.”

Majors “completely denies” assaulting the victim, and his lawyer claims that the actor was the one to call the police out of concern for her “mental health.”
The shared text exchange starts with Major’s asking the alleged victim, “Goodbye.”
She responded with a lengthy message that read, “Please let me know you’re okay when you get this. They assured me that you won’t be charged. They said they had to arrest you as protocol when they saw the injuries on me and they knew we had a fight.”

She continued explained how angry she was at the police’s actions and apologized again and again for putting him in “this position.”
“I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone,” the victim explained. “Just call me when you’re out. I love you.”

The text messages were shared on Twitter to mixed reception; some believe it “completely proves his innocence” while others commented on how it reads like “an abuse victim apologizing to her abuser.”
The victim has since revoked her initial complaint in writing, but Majors still faces domestic abuse charges.
