Greg Abbott opened the door for comic and world-number 1 podcaster Joe Rogan coming to Texas by keeping the Lone Star State open when Commie California shut down.
That move is paying big dividends.
And now Joe Rogan has broken one bit of news to destroy leftists in the culture wars.
Unfortunately, one of the many casualties of the radical Left’s war on Free Speech has been comedy.
Among other restrictions, no longer is a joke allowed to be told if it could potentially offend any of the “oppressed communities.”
But now number-one podcaster in the world, Joe Rogan, is putting his money where his mouth is and bringing “funny’ back.
Cancel Culture coming for comedy
Despite the lack of laughs in the woke History of the World Part II, Mel Brooks – back in his heyday – was widely considered one of the funniest men in history.
Brooks has been quoted as saying, “tragedy is what happens to me, comedy is what happens to you.”
Prolific American author, Mark Twain, is quoted as saying, “Humor is tragedy plus time.”
What both men are saying is, comedy comes from pain.
It’s no wonder the Cancel Culture mob is getting Twain books removed from libraries across the country.
But without pain there is no comedy.
And in woke culture, there is no room for pain – especially not to anyone who belongs in one of the Left’s protected classes of, “oppressed communities.”
A new home for canceled comedians
Now podcaster extraordinaire, Joe Rogan, is on a mission to un-cancel comedy.
Nearly 13-million people listen to The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
In fact, according to Edison Research, Rogan owns and operates the number-one most listened to podcast in America.
That gives the former UFC color-commentator a great deal of influence over a large swath of people.
And now the stand-up comedian is opening a comedy club specifically to thumb its nose at the Cancel Culture mob.

The new club just opened in Austin, Texas and Rogan is calling it, Comedy Mothership.
The former Fear Factor host says the theme of the club is “anti-cancel-culture,” in light of the long list of comedians who have been blacklisted by the so-called “Social Justice Warriors” for telling jokes the radical Left deem to be “offensive.”
“I felt compelled to do it,” Rogan said of opening the new comedy club. “I never wanted to own a comedy club, and I always felt like you just had to be nice to comedy club owners because you never want to be one of those people. But then when I knew I was moving here, and [Austin’s Capital City Comedy Club] was already closed. I was like, ‘Maybe I should buy a f–king club, and start a club.’ And that became my focus.”
I got to attend the Comedy Mothership and see Joe Rogan and Dave Chapelle together on stage and off, dropping wisdom about comedy & life, in this epic new place. Hanging with them & Whitney, Duncan, Tony, Ron White & other amazing humans, I felt like the luckiest guy on Earth. pic.twitter.com/zXCCuGgnE7

The Comedy Mothership is playing host to previously “canceled” acts like Dave Chappelle, David Lucas, Ron White, Tim Dillon, Tony Hinchcliffe and even Roseanne Barr.
Rogan sees the light
Rogan has moved a long ways to the right since the days he endorsed the likes of Comrade Bernie Sanders for the White House.
Rogan’s frustrations mounted as Democrats’ increased attacks on the First and Second Amendments, pushed for Critical Racist Theory and the LGBTQ+ agenda in schools, and implemented COVID restrictions – leading him to proclaim recently on his podcast that the only way to stop the madness is to vote Republican.
He even recently said Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida would make a good President.
