President Joe Biden just can’t seem to get ahead. A hypothetical matchup in the state of Florida revealed that both former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis would beat sleepy Joe if an election were to take place today.
Trump and DeSantis both lead President Joe Biden in a hypothetical matchup in Florida, a University of North Florida Public Opinion Research Lab survey revealed.
The survey asked, “If the 2024 presidential election were held today and the candidates were Joe Biden for the Democratic Party and Donald Trump for the Republican Party, who would you vote for?”
Trump received 50 percent of the vote to Biden’s 43 percent. Seven percent remained unsure. Trump also holds an advantage among independent voters, leading Biden by five percent, 47 percent to 42 percent.
The survey then asked the same question, proposing Biden or Florida Governor DeSantis.
DeSantis beat Biden by nine percent in the hypothetical matchup, 51 percent to 42 percent. Additionally, DeSantis holds a lead among independent voters, ahead of Biden 48 percent to 42 percent.
The survey revealed bad news for Biden in the Sunshine State. 53 percent of respondents view him either somewhat or very unfavorably. A whopping fifty-four percent of independents share that view as well.
What we can learn from this survey is that smart voters live in Florida. Joe Biden has to go, and 2024 can’t come soon enough.
