Former President Donald J. Trump reacted to an insider account detailing the left-wing bias at National Public Radio (NPR) which serves as a megaphone for the Democratic party.
In a scathing essay on the journalistic practices at his longtime employer, veteran editor Uri Berliner laid bare NPR’s shift into pure propaganda following Trump’s upset of heavily favored Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election and embrace of DEI as its “North Star” after the 2020 death of career criminal and drug addict George Floyd.
In a blistering Wednesday post to Truth Social, Trump vowed to cut off the money for the government-funded “news” operation if he returns to the White House next year.
NO MORE FUNDING FOR NPR, A TOTAL SCAM! EDITOR SAID THEY HAVE NO REPUBLICANS, AND IS ONLY USED TO “DAMAGE TRUMP.” THEY ARE A LIBERAL DISINFORMATION MACHINE. NOT ONE DOLLAR!!!

“NO MORE FUNDING FOR NPR, A TOTAL SCAM! EDITOR SAID THEY HAVE NO REPUBLICANS, AND IS ONLY USED TO ‘DAMAGE TRUMP.’ THEY ARE A LIBERAL DISINFORMATION MACHINE. NOT ONE DOLLAR!!!” Trump said.
The bombshells dropped by Berliner who blew the lid off of the “liberal disinformation machine” in his essay for The Free Press – the independent outlet founded by former New York Times editor Bari Weiss – were nothing short of devastating for the reputation of the outlet which like the rest of the mainstream media is now widely despised and distrusted by the majority of Americans.
How NPR Lost the Trust of America
In an exclusive interview, senior business editor at @NPR @UBerliner speaks to @bariweiss about NPR’s shift from a liberal-leaning news organization to its present “knee-jerk,” “activist,” and “scolding” liberal bias.

In damning details on shift at the outlet after the 2016 election, Berliner said that “Persistent rumors that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia over the election became the catnip that drove reporting,” and that NPR “hitched our wagon to Trump’s most visible antagonist, Representative Adam Schiff,” referring to the scheming, lying former House Intel. boss who was a fixture in the media to spread his manure about the Russiagate hoax.
“By my count, NPR hosts interviewed Schiff 25 times about Trump and Russia. During many of those conversations, Schiff alluded to purported evidence of collusion. The Schiff talking points became the drumbeat of NPR news reports,” Berliner wrote, noting that after the sweeping witch hunt conducted by former special counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence that Trump was in cahoots with the Kremlin,” Russiagate quietly faded from our programming.”
Moving from Russigate into the George Floyd era, the editor reveals that it was former CEO John Lansing who sparked the outlet’s crusade against the mythical “systemic racism” and proclaimed that the pursuit of diversity would be the “North Star” at NPR which came to define coverage become part of the organizational culture.
“Race and identity became paramount in nearly every aspect of the workplace. Journalists were required to ask everyone we interviewed their race, gender, and ethnicity (among other questions), and had to enter it in a centralized tracking system. We were given unconscious bias training sessions,” he wrote. “A growing DEI staff offered regular meetings imploring us to ‘start talking about race.’Monthly dialogues were offered for “women of color” and ‘men of color.’ Nonbinary people of color were included, too.”
Trump would be performing a valuable service to the nation if he pulls the plug on NPR.
