The Democrats in the House are bristling at the changes taking place in the committees. Democratic Representative Eric 'Bang-Fang' Swalwell of Commie California is one of the most vocal.
Swalwell vowed on Wednesday that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy would “regret” taking him off of the House Intelligence Committee.
That sounds like a threat.
McCarthy removed the Commie California representative along with his buddy Democratic Representative Adam Schiff of Commie California from the House Intelligence Committee on Jan. 24. He cited Swalwell’s alleged relationship with a Chinese spy as well as information that Schiff lied on several issues like declaring that Crackhead Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop was Russian disinformation. Schiff also loudly defended the defunct Steele dossier.
Swalwell shared his angst at a press conference saying, “We will not be quiet. We’re not going away. I think he’ll regret giving all three of us more time on our hands. But at the end of the day, our mission now is to restore the credibility and integrity of this institution, of which the speaker has so gravely, so gravely smashed and destroyed.”
These are not the only changes McCarthy is making in his House, he confirmed on Jan. 9 that the House will vote on removing Democratic Representative Ingrate Ilhan Omar of Minnesota from the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He cited anti-Semitic comments made by members of “the Squad.”
“I am committed to returning the @HouseIntel Committee to one of genuine honesty and credibility that regains the trust of the American people,” McCarthy tweeted this week.
This is not unusual when the majority in the House changes hands. Democrats removed Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Paul Gosar of Arizona from committee assignments during the 117th Congress.
It doesn’t seem like McCarthy is feeling intimidated by the threats coming from the Democrats, and I’m pretty sure he won’t feel any regrets.
