Representative Maxine Waters has been in Congress for decades, but the California Democrat doesn’t have a lot of legislative credo to her name.
However, she has developed quite a reputation for being highly inflammatory and divisive, as she demonstrated again this week during an appearance on far-left MSNBC.
As she always does, Waters railed against Republican Party conservatives like Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and her allies, referring to them as “domestic terrorists.”
The remark came in response to a discussion about the death of Memphis resident Tyre Nichols earlier this month after being beaten by five black police officers and the potential for federal police reforms. Host Ayman Mohyeldin asked Waters if majority Republicans would be willing to work with Democrats in a potential reform measure.
“It’s the Marjorie Taylor Greene Republican caucus. And so I don’t expect anything from them,” she began, breezing past the fact that when Democrats were in charge of the House over the past four years, they didn’t much care what minority Republicans thought. She added, “you heard what [House Speaker Kevin] McCarthy (R-Calif.) said. He said that he just loves her, and that he’s going to do everything he can to protect her.”
Waters then added: “We have these right-wing conservatives who are, you know, we have domestic terrorists in the House of Representatives.”
“These people are extremists. And so I am not optimistic that that is the way that it is going to happen until the people of this country really decide that they do not want it, and they are not going to elect people who act in the way that they act,” she said.
Only Republicans are ‘extreme,’ but of course, her party is to the left of Karl Marx on issues like abortion, open borders, and woke cultural nonsense. Also, the last police reform bill came from the Senate; Tim Scott, a black Republican, offered it up during then-President Donald Trump’s term and Democrats refused to back it.

In response to Zero Hedge’s post regarding Waters’ remarks, several users noted:
“The term “domestic terrorist” has truly lost any weight with normal thinking ppl. Calling anyone who doesn’t agree with you a terrorist on a regular basis makes them numb to it to the point they embrace it in a comical like sense”
“Just like the word nazi, they’re normalizing the word terrorist now. Watering it down to meaninglessness. But to them, Ultra Mega top tier freakout.”
“Liberals will call anyone the nastiest names if they don’t agree with them, will not even debate.”
“I wish that Republicans were even a fraction as based as Democrats make them out to be”
“As the saying goes, “Guilty dog always barks first”
