America First Legal (AFL) uncovered startling documents through its lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which include internal emails from Assistant Secretary for Health “Rachel” Levine.
The emails obtained Wednesday expose the Biden administration for holding behind-the-scenes meetings with “gender affirming care providers” in states where such experimental medical procedures are prohibited.
The administration pledged to utilize federal authority to thwart states from implementing these health policies.
Levine shared “heartfelt concern for our LGBTI+ community in Idaho,” and stated, “We are continuing to push this issue nationally and will keep you up to date with our plans,” per emails.
AFL reported on its first set of obtained documents last month that showcased a radical presentation and plan distributed internally by Levine on “Measuring Sex, Gender Identity, and Sexual Orientation.”
Levine sent an email to the “LGBTQI+ Coordinating Committee Members” with the taxpayer funded presentation from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
“I fully support these recommendations and offer any assistance needed in the implementation of the recommendations,” an email from Levine on April 27, 2022 states.
AFL’s reveal from this week shows that HHS Regional Director Ingrid Ulrey emailed Levine on June 3, 2022 about a meeting she had with “gender affirming care providers in Idaho” regarding proposed legislation.
This legislation, passed a year later, aimed to prohibit doctors from prescribing radical chemical castration drugs to minors or conducting genital mutilation surgeries in Idaho.
Ulrey told Levine that her heart goes out to our LGBTQ brothers and sisters in Idaho and their health care providers,” adding it was “rough for [the LQBTQ community] and many fear for their safety.”
Ulrey articulated her perspective on the challenges linked to a perceived shortage of doctors willing to offer these mutilating services, along with the high costs associated with such procedures if they are not subsidized by insurance.
“One provider is providing GAC to [a] large state prison population,” she explained, further mentioning, “there are a small number of other providers, some also wanted to come to this meeting but felt too intimidated, want to remain below the radar.”
Levine would later reply to the email on June 5, 2022 sharing, “heartfelt concern for our LGBTI+ community in Idaho.”
“We are continuing to push this issue nationally and will keep you up to date with our plans,” he stated.
AFL notes that these emails expose the extent to which advocates are seeking support from the Biden Administration to advance their agenda, despite state laws aimed at safeguarding children from these risky medical experiments.
“The Biden Administration is leveraging the full power of the federal government to engage in an anti-science war on reality, with America’s children as the collateral damage. While European nations are drastically pulling back on these dangerous experiments and a number of states are legislating against them, the Biden Administration is plowing full steam ahead in its goal of redefining the foundations of biology, from the doctors’ offices to the athletic fields,” AFL Senior Advisor Ian Prior said following the report.
“This comes even as the United States Supreme Court has held that states have a right to enact such legislation. The Biden Administration is supporting crimes against humanity, and America First Legal will continue to fight back until these dangerous practices end,” he continued.
