The revelation that 18-year-old Barron Trump is set to officially enter politics has led some on the right to assert that leftists are worrying about the wrong Trump.
NBC News reports that President Donald Trump’s youngest child, who doesn’t even graduate high school until next month, is set to “step into the political spotlight.”
Barron Trump “was picked by the Republican Party of Florida on Wednesday night as one of the state’s at-large delegates to the Republican National Convention,” reports the news outlet.
The teenager will join his much higher profile older brothers Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., along with Tiffany Trump, as a Florida at-large Republican National Committee delegate.
“We have a great delegation of grassroots leaders, elected officials and even Trump family members,” Florida GOP chairman Evan Power said. “Florida is continuing to have a great convention team, but more importantly we are preparing to win Florida and win it big.”
Barron hit the headlines last month at the start of his father’s politicized criminal show trial in New York, when Judge Juan Merchan agreed to allow Trump a break to visit his son’s May 17 high school graduation.
Respondents on X celebrated the announcement by asserting that Democrats have been fretting about the wrong Trump all along.
The memes for this one certainly aren’t going to disappoint.
