Despite his wealth, notoriety, and flaws, Donald Trump is a man of the people, which not only helps explain why he is so popular with many Americans but also explains why his political opponents despise him with such ferocity.
Due to his ongoing criminal hush money case, Trump’s campaign opportunities and earned media generation are significantly limited — the presumptive Republican presidential nominee is required to be in a Manhattan courtroom every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. This makes his public interactions, such as the recent pizza delivery to a Manhattan FDNY station, all the more noteworthy — this is the same fire station he visited in 2021 for the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
As seen in the video below, the former president was warmly received as he personally delivered a couple of pies. He proceeded to glad-hand a group of firefighters who cheered as he approached the station.

“We appreciate whoever supports our members at the FDNY, no matter their political affiliation,” the fire department said in a statement.
A born-and-bred New Yorker, Trump made it clear that the Big Apple remains a priority for him.
“We’re going to come in. Number one, you have to stop crime, and we’re going to let the police do their job. They have to be given back their authority. They have to be able to do their job,” Trump said while at the fire station. “And we’re going to come into New York. We’re making a big play for New York, other cities too. But this city, I love this city.”
Visits like this go a long way toward winning over the public after an 8-year campaign by the left to denigrate and otherwise destroy Trump.
A visit last month to a Chick-fil-A in Atlanta proved to be an all-around winner, as Trump bought milkshakes for the house — a video clip of a black woman hugging him as he interacted with the staff was worth its weigh in gold.
“So can I have 30 milkshakes and also some chicken? I’m going to take care of the customers,” Trump said as he stepped up to the counter.
“What good looking people. Wow. That was worth it…. Can I have 30 milkshakes. And also some chicken. We’re going to take care of the customers. Business is good? Making a lot of money? Get rich, right?

Trump, who now lives in Florida, said during the visit to the Harlem bodega last month that New York would remain on his radar.
“We’re going to make a heavy play for New York,” he said at the time. “I love this city and it’s gotten so bad in the last three years, four years, and we’re going to straighten New York out.”
