Prosecutors looking into the former president will face increased pressure from Trump supporters next week as an online documentary accuses them of engaging in political activism and campaigning.
“Chasing Trump” is set for release on April 17, only two days after the first of four criminal proceedings against Trump will begin in a New York court, according to The Daily Mail.
According to the show’s creators, it will investigate the personal histories of the prosecutors in charge of each case.
Another indication of the former president’s reliance on MAGA world to expose his accusers is his violation of a New York gag order, which prohibits him from criticizing witnesses, prosecutors, jurors, court officials, and their relatives.
Trump Family Take
‘”Chasing Trump’ is an important documentary that exposes the leftwing prosecutors weaponizing the government to target my father,’ Donald Trump Jr. told DailyMail.com.
“It’s the first documentary to do a deep dive into the backgrounds of the prosecutors behind the four cases against him and is a must-watch for anyone who cares about preserving the rule of law and protecting our constitutional rights.”
The world is expected to be captivated by the historic spectacle of a former U.S. president appearing in court next week to begin a criminal prosecution.
Start of the Case
The Trump hush money case is set to commence next Monday with the jury selection process. His accusers say that while he was running for president in 2016, he concealed payments to a porn star by altering company records.
In addition to denying having an affair with Stormy Daniels, he denies all thirty-four claims. Alvin L. Bragg, the district attorney of Manhattan, is in charge of the prosecution.
The film’s subjects include him, Fani Willis, who is prosecuting the election fraud case in Georgia, Special Counsel John Smith, who is presiding over two separate cases involving the 2020 election and classified documents in Florida, and Letitia James, the attorney general of New York, who obtained a $454 million civil settlement from Trump for artificially inflating his wealth.
From the Film
“Four corrupt, politically motivated prosecutors. One target: Donald Trump,” intones the narrator of a trailer shared with DailyMail.com.
“They say they’re upholding the law. But a close examination reveals politics of the very worst kind meant to influence the 2024 election,” it continued.
Consistent with his repeated claims that he is the target of a witch hunt, it argues that Trump is facing consequences for challenging the current governmental order.
Judge Juan Merchan issued a gag order in the New York case, prohibiting him from stating this point.
