Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) might not have a defined plan for when she manages to remove Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) from his position. When asked about her alternative plans should her ousting efforts be successful by Fox News host Maria Bartiromo during a Sunday interview, she gave a lengthy response that did not exactly lay out her plans.
“Our plan is this, is, we have to give the American people a reason to trust us and fight for us,” she began. “The American people are supporting President Trump to be the next president of the United States because they saw him — they have seen him in action. He fought against the Democrat agenda. He put America first. They desperately want him to lead this country again because they trust him and they know he will do that.”
“Mike Johnson has betrayed America. He’s betrayed Republican voters. Under his leadership, he’s passed the Democrat agenda, passed the Biden administration’s policies and fully funded them. We’re going to fight in Congress to do everything we can to stop this type of uniparty leadership. Mike Johnson’s speakership is over. He needs to do the right thing to resign and allow us to move forward in a controlled process. If he doesn’t do so, he will be vacated,” she added.
Following Greene’s response, Bartiromo noted that she did not actually answer her question.
“Well, with all due respect, you didn’t give me a plan for the speaker’s role,” the Fox News host said, going ahead to ask, “And, again, does this mean you are going to file that motion at some point?”
In response, Greene said, “It’s coming regardless of what Mike Johnson decides to do. And we have three more Republicans joining us for special elections coming up very soon. So people need to know this can happen.”

Greene’s last statement echoes her claims last week that Johnson’s Speakership is over even though he is refusing to accept that reality.
“The reality for Mike Johnson that he just is not accepting or refusing to accept, publicly at least, is whether it happens two weeks from now, two months from now, or in the next majority, he will not be Speaker. He just will not be. There may be only two of us public right now. But he does not have the support of the conference at all. There may be people who might not vote to vacate him right now, but they will never vote for him to be Speaker next Congress. There are two large factions in the conference against his speakership,” she told Breitbart News.
So far, Greene’s motion to take the Speaker’s gavel from Johnson over his pushing of aid to Ukraine has received Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ), both of whom announced they were joining her efforts last week.
