A recent review of official transcripts reveals that the communications department at the White House has been particularly active in editing the public statements made by President Joe Biden.
This is done with the intention of ensuring that the statements are accurate and consistent with White House policies, as The Washington Times reported.
During the period beginning on January 1, the words stated by the president have been subjected to a minimum of 148 corrections, as indicated by the Daily Caller’s comprehensive reviews of transcripts that have been issued by the White House.
Details of The Missteps
Biden is responsible for around nine errors, blunders, and gaffes every single week.
The adjustments cover 118 different events, including formal speeches, impromptu comments, and interactions with the press that were filmed between January 1 and April 24.
In a number of instances, it was observed that the altered remarks that were included in the official transcripts were in sharp contrast to the statements that Mr. Biden had actually said.
White House Response
“It was then, through no — through my American Rescue Plan — which every American [Republican] voted against, I might add — we made the largest investment in public safety ever,” the White House transcript of Mr. Biden‘s State of the Union address in March read.
“I’ve always believed we’ve [they’ve] got it all wrong. America is rising. And we have the best economy in the world, which we do,” stated the White House transcript of Mr. Biden‘s April 17 remarks on his new initiatives to protect U.S. steel in Pittsburgh.
“We must be honest: The threat to democracy must be defended [defeated],” another State of the Union excerpt reads.
In terms of the substance of the modifications, they encompass a wide range of corrections, which include, but are not limited to, correct names, dates, and particular terminologies linked with organizations.
Furthermore, modifications have been made to verbs and complete phrases, which has resulted in a change in the meanings that are communicated in order to better coincide with official White House stances or a more accurate representation of the facts.
The excessive of extreme confusion displayed by the current commander-in-chief of the United States military is one of the concerns that has prompted a lack of confidence in the president
