(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Monday, former President Donald Trump’s lawyers had requested the judge in the hush money case to issue a subpoena for adult film star Stormy Daniels, as they are looking to gain access to her communications with Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, and fixer. Both are key witnesses in the case. Trump’s team is also seeking access from NBC to all the material they had gathered that related to the actress.
Trump’s attorneys in a letter to Judge Juan Merchan asked for him to enforce the subpoena for access to the communication between Cohen and Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford. They are also looking for access to his communications with Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model. Both women are expected to provide their testimony in the hush money trial that is starting later this month.
Todd Blanche, Trump’s attorney has argued that the communications between Daniels and these witnesses would suggest that there was communication between the witnesses in order to coordinate “their false testimony.”
Blanche wrote that this communication would have taken place between Daniels and other women who were looking to gain monetary gains from the sexual assault claims against Trump.
This is not the only communication that Trump is trying to gain access to, as he is also looking for any communications between Daniels and advice columnist E. Jean Carroll, who brought the defamation case against Trump last year. This is after comedian Kathy Griffin claimed that there were daily communications between Daniels and Carroll.
