'Resting-Bitch-Face' Hillary Clinton must be irate right now.
According to Fox News, a federal judge just ordered the Clinton-linked Fusion GPS to hand over to Special Counsel John Durham almost two dozen emails detailing the attempt to establish a link between former President Donald Trump and Russia.
Fusion GPS is the research firm hired by Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. It’s the firm that hired former British spy Christopher Steele, who fabricated the infamous Steele Dossier, which, again, falsely tied Trump to the Kremlin.
22 emails forthcoming
Fusion GPS fought tooth and nail to keep the emails from being released.
The emails – 38 of them – were subpoenaed by Durham last year as part of his investigation into the Russia-Trump collusion hoax. But, Fusion GPS has refused to hand them over because they are protected by the attorney-client privilege.
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper ruled that Fusion GPS has to turn over 22 of the 38 emails requested by Durham. The judge ruled that the remaining 16 are protected by the attorney-client privilege.
What’s in them?
The Washington Times has provided details about the contents of the 22 emails.
The outlet reports:
The 22 emails largely consist of internal communications between Fusion GPS and [Clinton campaign lawyer Michael] Sussmann detailing efforts by the Clinton campaign to pitch to media outlets negative stories tying Mr. Trump to a Russian bank.
The Times adds:
Some of the emails include discussions about circulating a draft version of a background white paper Mr. Sussmann compiled that pushed a now-debunked conspiracy theory of covert communications between Mr. Trump and Russia’s Alfa Bank.
Monday is the day
Judge Cooper has ruled that Fusion GPS has to turn the emails over to Durham by Monday.
Monday is the day that Sussmann’s trial is set to commence. He stands accused, by Durham, of lying to the FBI by claiming that he wasn’t working for anyone when he was working for both Clinton’s campaign and a tech executive. The lie took place during a meeting with the FBI that Sussmann called in 2016 to present so-called evidence of a link between Trump and Russia.
The emails will not be used at Sussmann’s trial. The judge has already ruled that they are inadmissible.
