Hunter Biden’s legal team was at the White House days before he defied a congressional subpoena, raising questions about coordination between the two camps, critics said.
Hunter Biden’s white-shoe attorney Abbe Lowell and Anthony Bernal, a top aide to First Lady Jill Biden were both at the White House on Dec. 11 in the East Wing, according to White House visitor logs.
An entry in the log appears to show Lowell met with Bernal — though the White House insisted the log entry was related to a White House Hanukkah reception and that no Hunter Biden matters were discussed.
However the report notes that Lowell’s trip to the White House occurred just two days before Hunter Biden defied a House subpoena for a transcribed interview and instead held a defiant press conference outside the Capitol building.
Later White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre admitted that Joe Biden had been made aware of what his son was planning to do.
Meanwhile, Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski has testified before Congress:
