As the 2024 election fast approaches, President Biden’s team is using the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as its “campaign arm” in a crucial swing state, according to the Republican chairman of the House Small Business Committee.
“Earlier this month, my colleagues and I sent a letter to the SBA inquiring into their Memorandum of Understanding with the Michigan Department of State,” Chairman Roger Williams (R-Texas) told Fox News Digital. “It appears that the SBA is diverting its resources away from assisting Main Street so it can register Democrat voters.”
“Federal agencies should not act as campaign arms for their Administrations, period,” Williams stated. “Americans have a right to know the extent of the SBA’s involvement, and based on further investigation, it appears even more concerning. I look forward to hearing from Administrator Guzman as to why her agency is engaging in election efforts on the taxpayer’s dime.”
This is Democrat corruption.

In 2020, Biden squeaked out a win in Michigan, beating former President Donald Trump by less than 3 percent. Biden’s re-election campaign now “eyes Michigan as a must-win state in the 2024 race,” according to Fox News Digital.
At issue is the SBA’s memorandum of understanding (MOU), announced in March, between the SBA and the Michigan Department of State (MDOS).
According to the SBA’s website, “Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman, head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and voice in President Biden’s Cabinet for America’s more than 33 million small businesses, announced a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the SBA and the Michigan Department of State (MDOS) to promote civic engagement and voter registration in Michigan. The agreement, a first-of-its-kind collaboration for the SBA, will run through Jan. 1, 2036.”
“As part of the MOU, the MDOS will create a unique URL for the SBA to use to drive online visitors to register to vote,” the release explains. “The SBA’s Michigan field office may also allow MDOS officials to conduct in-person voter registration at the SBA’s small business outreach events.”
“Michigan boasts a thriving small business community, with more than 900,000 small businesses that employ 1.9 million Michiganders,” the SBA adds.
“Protecting and strengthening our democracy is critical to our economic success and a core goal of the Biden-Harris Administration,” Guzman said in the release. “Through this memorandum of understanding, the SBA will help connect Michiganders to vital voter registration information from the State of Michigan so that more small business owners can exercise their right to vote. Small businesses are busy working on and in their businesses, and by meeting them where they are – on our website and at our small business outreach events – we can help facilitate voter registration and civic engagement so their voices are heard.”
Biden’s plan to utilize the federal government to his campaign’s 2024 advantage was hatched via executive order shortly after he began his first term in office.
“One of President Biden’s first actions upon taking office was issuing an Executive Order, which called upon federal agencies like the SBA to ‘consider ways to expand citizens’ opportunities to register to vote,’” according to the SBA. “In addition to this MOU, the SBA will also encourage voter registration nationwide by including information on Vote.gov in marketing materials, on the SBA’s website and social media channels, and through signage at SBA offices and events throughout the country.”
“An investigation by the House Small Business Committee found that 22 out of 25 of such outreach events have taken place in counties with the highest population of Democratic National Committee (Democratic National Committee) target demographics,” Fox News Digital reports. “Meanwhile, 11 of 15 Michigan counties that showed the largest voter registration increase over the last year have ranked highest in population of young voters and Black voters, according to the committee – two of the left’s most-sought voting blocs.”
Last week, Williams fired off a letter to Guzman, demanding more information.
“The Committee wrote to you on April 4, 2024, requesting further information about your involvement in voter registration in Michigan,” Williams wrote. “You failed to provide a briefing, narrative response, or any documents by the deadline. The Committee is incredibly concerned that the Small Business Administration (SBA) improperly involved the federal government in America’s electoral processes.”
