President Trump Taps Larry Kudlow as Chief Economic Adivsor

It’s official!

President Trump has chosen Larry Kudlow, CNBC host and former Reagan economics advisor, as his new chief economic advisor, replacing Wall Street heavyweight Gary Cohn.

Bloomberg news reports:

President Donald Trump plans to name economist and CNBC contributor Larry Kudlow to replace Gary Cohn as director of the White House National Economic Council, CNBC reported on Wednesday, citing unnamed people familiar with the decision.

Trump may announce the move as soon as Thursday, the network reported. On Tuesday, the president said the 70-year-old Kudlow had “a very good chance” at getting the job.

This is exciting news! Kudlow is a fierce defender of free enterprise and is a huge opponent of big government. He’s long been a champion of cutting taxes and burdensome regulations. During the Obama Administration, Kudlow was critical of the President’s anti-business agenda.

Here’s an interesting fact: At the height of Kudlow’s prime, he admitted to suffering from alcoholism and drug addiction. He reportedly got over his addictions by finding Jesus Christ and returning to the Catholic church. Through overcoming his demons, he became a respectable financial commentator.

Many praised Trump’s decision over Twitter:
