Tomi Lahren slammed for defending Trump’s sh*thole comments

Twitter users slammed Republican commentator Tomi Lahren on Friday for defending President Donald Trump after he reportedly told senators that some African nations are “sh*thole countries.” However, the young Fox News pundit had some great answers for the resulting accusations that “the President is a racist and so are his supporters.”

On Thursday, the Washington Post wrote a report that quoted unidentified sources from a bipartisan meeting about DACA between Trump and senators saying that the president called Haiti, El Salvador and some African nations “sh*thole countries.”

Trump’s comment, which he denied even saying in a tweet on Friday morning, was likely in reference to the push by some senators to maintain temporary protected status for DACA’s so-called “Illegal Aliens”, who come from some of those countries.

“The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made – a big setback for DACA!” Trump tweeted after the news of his so-called “bashing” of third-world countries was leaked to an outraged press. The media were quick to jump on the Post’s unverified account as though Trump had made such comments in a public speech.

Lahren, a longtime advocate for the president, tweeted: “If they aren’t sh*thole countries, why don’t their citizens stay there? Let’s be honest. Call it like it is.”

She was immediately slammed by liberals who pointed out that she left her hometown in Rapid City, South Dakota at one point to pursue other opportunities; essentially comparing Americans who relocate throughout this country to immigrants from other nations fleeing war and poverty.

“All these leftist pearl clutchers are so upset President Trump referred to some ‘sh*thole’ countries while they’ve spent the last 2 years+ telling us the USA is a sh*thole country not worth standing for. Please. Get over yourselves,” the Fox News contributor responded in a follow-up tweet.

Twitter liberals met that comment with further outrage in their quest to equalize countries throughout the world and point out that people travel from every corner of the globe to come to the U.S. What they don’t say, however, is that those who are fleeing their own countries do so to escape a bad situation. Immigration activists say it’s cruel to make them go back to their homelands for the same reason.

Washington Post bureau chief Kevin Sieff made it clear where he stands in a telling tweet that should warn readers to keep this in mind when reading his newspaper: “Hey Tomi, Washington Post sh*thole bureau chief here. Love your foreign affairs reporting. Did you know there are 8.7 million Americans living overseas? Can’t imagine why they would leave home.”

Lahren has stirred up controversy in the past for similar remarks on immigration and other related issues, according to a report in The Washington Examiner.

She went on to point out how Democrats fight over words while actions typically go by the way-side. “Democrats would rather have a fierce debate over President Trump’s ‘mean words’ than solve the actual immigration problem. It’s all a diversion so they don’t have to actually do anything. Dem playbook 101,” she tweeted.
