The Harris County Jail in Houston Texas is the third largest in the US with 9,000 inmates and they all need King James Bibles

The Harris County Jail in Houston, Texas, is a sprawling, massive facility that holds between 9,000 to 10,000 inmates at any one given time. It is the largest jail in the state of Texas, and the third largest jail in the United States. Out of all the jails we’ve supplied Bibles to, this one is the largest by over 300%. Last week, Chaplain Robert wrote to us explaining his desire to get King James Bibles to as many of those inmates as possible. Harris County Jail will be the biggest Bibles Behind Bars project, by far, we’ve ever attempted, and we need your help to do it.

“To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.” Isaiah 42:7 (KJB)

Chaplain Robert wrote to us and said “We have about 9000 inmates. The only supply of Bibles coming in is E.S.V. and a few Spanish. I am seeking to provide King James and Spanish Bibles. Any help would be appreciated!” As we have long told you, there are almost no Bible supply ministries left who only send out the King James Bible, BBB is one of the last of them to do this. So the question is, can we send out over the next few months, 9,000 Bibles to Harris County? We could, but that comes at a minimum cost of $40,410 including shipping. That’s how much we would have to raise to meet that need. We are asking NTEB’ers across the county to pray with us about this, we need your help like never before.
