They all want to blame the guns. They’d rather do that instead of focusing on and addressing the mental health issues. And Minnesota lawmakers with Tim Walz in the lead bears major responsibility for a tragedy wrought by ignoring a root cause, mental illness.
There were a multitude of red flags regarding Robert Westman. There were major problems that involved law enforcement as far back as 2018, before his mother signed the papers changing Robert’s name to Robin at age 17. Three different high schools, not because the family was moving, but because of the kid’s serious mental issues.
Disturbing revelations since the Annunciation Catholic School massacre paint a chilling portrait of Robin Westman as a deeply deranged young man who was by any yardstick a ticking time bomb — prompting many as-yet-unanswered questions about how such obvious warning signs were missed.
Westman, 23, had a sick fascination with school shootings and Adolf Hitler from an early age, and bounced between high schools as a teen while harboring suicidal feelings and saying he believed “life is pain.”

In an apparent suicide note addressed to “my family and friends,” Westman, who was transgender, described himself as “corrupted by this world,” and admitted he has “learned to hate what life is. Life is love, life is pain,” the rambling scrawl read in part.
“I am not well. I am not right. I am a sad person, haunted by these thoughts that do not go away. I know this is wrong, but I can’t seem to stop myself,” the letter continued.
“I am severely depressed and have been suicidal for years.”
His rantings included blaming his mother for daring to say he might regret his transition.
As more comes to light about how damaged Robert Westman was, Democrat politicians are spending their time castigating people for praying and yammering about gun control.
It’s time to take serious action at the State Capitol to address gun violence.

Timmy, the guns are NOT the problem here. Mental illness is the root cause. You know that even as you and Minnesota lawmakers gleefully declared the state is a sanctuary state for anyone (mostly children) who want to transition, even to the point of shoveling ungodly amounts of drugs into their bodies and undergoing irreversible surgeries.
Tim Walz wants the conversation to be about guns. RFK Jr. is looking deeper into the issue and is planning to look into the meds Westman was on.
JUST IN: RFK Jr. launched a FULL INVESTIGATION into the meds the trans Minneapolis shooter was using
“There’s never been a time in America… where people walk into a crowd or a church or a movie theater or a school and just start randomly shooting.”

Westman himself admitted the drugs he was on, along with the nearly 24/7 vaping, plus the toxicity of the pot he was smoking totally messed with his mental health.
Yet Tim Walz wants to sweep all of that under the rug.
He along with all the rest of the Democrats in Minnesota should have a very large mirror held up to their faces? Why? Because they not only declared Minnesota as a transgender sanctuary state, in 2023 they passed a law BANNING mental health professionals from practicing any kind of conversion therapy whatsoever.
(b) “Conversion therapy” means any practice by a mental health practitioner as defined in section 245I.02, subdivision 26, or mental health professional as defined in section 245I.02, subdivision 27, that seeks to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity, including efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same gender. Conversion therapy does not include counseling, practice, or treatment that provides assistance to an individual undergoing gender transition, or counseling, practice, or treatment that provides acceptance, support, and understanding of an individual or facilitates an individual’s coping, social support, and identity exploration and development, including sexual-orientation-neutral interventions to prevent or address unlawful conduct or unsafe sexual practices, as long as the counseling, practice, or treatment does not seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity.
Subd. 2.Prohibition. (a) No mental health practitioner or mental health professional shall engage in conversion therapy with a client younger than 18 years of age or with a client who is a vulnerable adult as defined in section 626.5572, subdivision 21.
(b) Conversion therapy attempted by a mental health practitioner or mental health professional with a client younger than 18 years of age or with a client who is a vulnerable adult shall be considered unprofessional conduct that may subject the mental health practitioner or mental health professional to disciplinary action by the licensing board of the mental health practitioner or mental health professional.
Read that again. Any child or adult who is having second, third, or 200th thoughts about their transition could talk to a therapist about it, but nothing would be done. Why? Because the law now mandates the therapist must ensure the transition process CONTINUES, especially if one is deemed a vulnerable adult, which Westman most certainly was.
From the Aurora theatre shooter, to Columbine, to Sandy Hook, to Nashville, to today – every single one of those shooters had serious mental health issues. Tim Walz, Democrats and the media (hello CNN) adamantly refuse to face that reality.
There are 400 million guns in this country. More guns than people.
In America, we are ten times more likely to be shot in a school or playground than any other developed nation.

They’d rather blame a gun.
