Passengers tackle guy screaming ‘death to Trump’ and threatening to blow up plane
By: Sierra Marlee, July 30, 2025
One thing people don’t mess around with is people acting crazy on airplanes, as one man found out the hard way.
Video shows a man, later identified by the BBC as 41-year-old Abhay Nayak, standing up on an EasyJet domestic flight over the UK. He can be heard shouting sentiments such as “death to America” and “death to Trump,” as well as mentioning a potential bomb on the aircraft. As the man screams “Allah akbar,” several people can be seen leaving their seats and tackling Nayak to the ground. The man was restrained for the remainder of the flight and was later arrested on charges of “assault and endangering the safety of an aircraft,” according to the outlet.

Despite spouting phrases commonly linked to Islamic terrorism, the “counter-terror police” in the area reviewed the footage and have opted not to hit the man with any terror-related charges. He appeared in the Paisley Sheriff Court, where he entered no plea and will be back in court later in the week.
X users reacted to the frightening footage, and many had questions about the behavior of the passengers as this was happening:
