In Division 11, Part 3, Chapter 1 of the California Family Code, it deals with the capacity of minors to contract in this state.
Section 6700 states that, with exceptions in Section 6701, a minor may make a contract in the same manner as an adult, subject to the power of disaffirmance and to the validity of marriage.
Section 6701 provides that a minor cannot give delegation of power, cannot make a contract relating to real property or any interest therein, and cannot make a contract relating to any personal property not in the immediate possession or control of the minor.
