That’s the sound of Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and House Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford (R-AR) dropping what might be the biggest political bombshell of the summer: the FBI has been sitting on thumb drives full of unreviewed evidence tied to the Hillary Clinton email scandal — for more than six years.
Let that sink in.
According to their letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, these drives — containing “sensitive intelligence,” “foreign communications,” and information related to the Clinton Foundation and even Barack Obama — have been gathering dust in a Northern Virginia satellite office of the FBI’s Washington Field Office since 2018.
Thumb drives containing unreviewed info on Clinton email scandal&mishandling of highly classified info hv been sitting at an FBI offshoot office since 2018 I sent a letter w House Intel Chair Crawford asking Dir Patel 2 review materials&report back ASAP

And the kicker? The Bureau knew the contents were critical. As Grassley and Crawford noted, Comey’s FBI even admitted in written memos that the materials were necessary for a “thorough and complete investigation.” But for reasons no one in Washington has ever bothered to explain, the evidence just… sat there.
“How evidence which purportedly includes information related to ‘former President Barack Obama’s emails’ and ‘network infrastructure diagrams for U.S. government classified networks,’ remained unreviewed by the preeminent law enforcement agency in the world is mind-numbing.”
Mind-numbing doesn’t even begin to cover it.
This isn’t some fringe theory or partisan fishing expedition. Grassley has been pushing for years to get what’s known as the “Clinton annex” — an appendix to the DOJ Inspector General’s 2018 report on the FBI’s handling of the Clinton investigation — declassified. Now, we’re finding out that not only does it exist, but that the evidence inside has been collecting dust like a forgotten shoebox in an attic.
And they’re not just throwing shade at the old guard. Grassley and Crawford are making it clear: Kash Patel, you’re on notice. Dig it up. Review it. Make it public.
If even half of what they’re hinting at is true — emails involving Obama, network diagrams of classified government systems, more dirt on the Clinton Foundation — this isn’t just an oversight. It’s a cover-up on steroids.
