It’s too sad watching history repeat itself. French President Emmanuel Macron said the other day that he will recognize the State of Palestine at the U.N. General Assembly. Not to be outdone as a spineless weasel, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said that he, too, will recognize the State of Palestine and even added tasks for Israel to complete. What princes of strength and morality. What examples for their Nations. Neville Chamberlain is smiling.
The French know their history. They know the assignment. Their job is to fold. The British don’t know their history any more than we Americans do. In 1938, Chamberlain met with Chancellor Adolf History, returned to England and, refusing to see the realities and ambitions of Hitler, declared that “peace in our time” would be achieved. One year later, Hitler invaded Poland and Britain and many other countries were taught a lesson
A lesson that didn’t hold. See generally: World War II.
Keir Starmer is the worst of the worst. He sat next to or near to President Trump like an eager puppy for two days and took no media or leadership training from it.

No lesson for Starmer because Trump had barely landed back at the White House when Starmer joins the French White Flag of Surrender Brigade and made this declaration. From Democracy Now:
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced Tuesday that the U.K. would recognize a Palestinian state in September — unless Israel takes steps to end the starvation of Gaza and agree to a ceasefire with Hamas.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer: “So, today, as part of this process towards peace, I can confirm the U.K. will recognize the state of Palestine by the United Nations General Assembly in September, unless the Israeli government takes substantive steps to end the appalling situation in Gaza, agree to a ceasefire and commit to a long-term, sustainable peace, reviving the prospect of a two-state solution.”
Some British activists and politicians criticized Starmer’s announcement as performative and disingenuous. A member of the Scottish Parliament, Ross Greer, wrote on social media, “Starmer wouldn’t threaten to withdraw UK recognition of Israel, but he’s made recognition of Palestinian statehood conditional on the actions of their genocidal oppressor?”
Separately, Malta announced Tuesday that it will also recognize a Palestinian state in September. One hundred forty-seven of the United Nations’ 193 member states currently recognize the state of Palestine.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands has banned two key figures in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition: the far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. The European Union also proposed suspending Israel from a tech investment program in response to the starvation of Gaza.
What a hypocritical worm. Watching this video is even worser and worser. First, Starmer acknowledges how heinous the attack on Israel by Hamas was and that nearly two years later, the hostages are still being held. Then, Keir Starmer calls Israel out and asks them to feed and clothe the Hamas people, while their own people slowly die under the ground.
How does the British government see any equivalency between the governments of Israel and Palestine. There is no such thing. Sky News at least acknowledged that Israel might have a point:
Sir Keir Starmer’s plan to recognise Palestine as a state has been attacked as “appeasement towards jihadist terrorists” by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The prime minister said the UK will recognise a Palestinian state by September unless Israel takes “substantive steps” to end the situation in Gaza, Israel agrees to a ceasefire, commits to a long-term sustainable peace, allows the UN to restart aid supplies and does not annexe the West Bank.
About 250 MPs from all parties – half of them Labour – had signed a letter last week calling for Sir Keir to immediately recognise a Palestinian state.
Sir Keir said that by giving Israel a deadline of 9 September UN meeting, he hoped this would play a part “in changing the conditions on the ground, and making sure aid gets into making sure that there is hope of a two-state solution for the future”.
But Mr Netanyahu condemned the plan, saying Sir Keir “rewards Hamas’s monstrous terrorism and punishes its victims”.
“A jihadist state on Israel’s border today will threaten Britain tomorrow,” he wrote on X.
So 250 MPs from all parties are Appeasement Princesses too. This move doesn’t risk rewarding terror. It does reward terror as Emily says:
As a Dual British-Israeli citizen who survived 471 days in Hamas captivity, I am deeply saddened by your decision @Keir_Starmer to recognise Palestinian statehood. This move does not advance peace—it risks rewarding terror. It sends a dangerous message: that violence earns… https://t.co/G4DF5AWgjT

When Britain falls, this time, we will still have to come and save them. Will they ever learn?
