Joe Rogan drew a “line in the sand” this week over one of the darkest scandals in modern American history—and it wasn’t against the corrupt media, the weaponized bureaucracy, or the Democrats who spent years covering for Jeffrey Epstein. No, Rogan aimed his frustration at President Trump, demanding more action on the Epstein files. And while it’s healthy to demand transparency from leaders, we need to pause and ask: Is this really the hill to die on?
Let’s get one thing straight. Jeffrey Epstein was a monster. He operated a sickening enterprise of human trafficking that exploited vulnerable girls and pulled in some of the most powerful people on the planet. From Hollywood to Wall Street to Capitol Hill, Epstein’s tentacles reached everywhere. The American people deserve to know who was involved, who benefited, and who turned a blind eye.
But here’s where things get twisted: the man who has done more to expose the corruption of the ruling class—Donald J. Trump—is now being accused of stonewalling on this issue. That’s rich, especially considering who actually protected Epstein for years. Hint: it wasn’t Trump.
Back in 2009, when the FBI had Epstein dead to rights, it was Obama’s Justice Department that gave him a sweetheart deal that let him walk the streets. The same DOJ that now claims it can’t release more Epstein files was the one that buried the truth for over a decade. Where was Joe Rogan’s outrage then?
Now fast-forward to today. The Justice Department and FBI—agencies that Trump is still working to clean up—just announced they won’t release further information, claiming “no further disclosure would be appropriate or warranted.” That’s not a Trump directive. That’s the same deep-state bureaucracy that’s been hiding the truth since the beginning.
Meanwhile, Trump himself said during the 2024 campaign that he supported releasing the Epstein client list. He promised transparency. And unlike Biden, Trump doesn’t hide behind bureaucrats. He puts the spotlight on them. At a recent Cabinet meeting, when asked about Epstein, Trump didn’t dismiss the issue—he dismissed the media’s obsession with using Epstein as a political weapon. There’s a difference.
Is it frustrating that we haven’t seen the full list yet? Of course. But let’s not pretend Trump is the one standing in the way. The DOJ and FBI are still filled with career bureaucrats and Obama-era holdovers. Trump has already begun purging these agencies of the rot that has festered for decades. But draining the swamp doesn’t happen overnight.
Joe Rogan is a sharp guy, and he’s right to demand answers. But he’s wrong to suggest that Trump is gaslighting the public. If anything, Trump has been the only president willing to take on the elite networks that protected Epstein. Remember, Trump was the one who kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago years before the media even admitted the guy was a predator. Bill Clinton, on the other hand, took dozens of flights on Epstein’s private jet and has never had to answer for it.
Let’s also not forget that Trump’s Deputy Attorney General, Todd Blanche, just met with Ghislaine Maxwell in prison to gather more information. That’s not sweeping things under the rug—that’s what investigation looks like. Blanche has promised to release what he learned “at an appropriate time.” That’s not a cover-up. That’s a responsible legal process.
Rogan says the Epstein scandal was “part of how [Trump] got elected.” He’s right. Americans are sick of the lies, the cover-ups, and the double standards. But lashing out at Trump now only helps the very institutions that have lied to us for years. Let’s keep the pressure on, yes—but let’s aim it where it belongs: the DOJ, the FBI, and the entrenched bureaucrats who’ve been running cover for Epstein’s powerful friends.
We’re finally in a position to rip open the files and expose the truth. But it won’t happen by turning on the one man who actually has the guts to do it. Keep pushing for transparency—but don’t fall for the trap of blaming the wrong side. This fight is far from over.
