The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) is courageously working to bypass Hamas and deliver critical aid directly to Gaza’s civilians, challenging the terror group’s oppressive control. Meanwhile, a separate proposal for a “humanitarian city” in the ruins of Rafah near Egypt’s border aims to provide Gazans a safe haven free from Hamas’s grip, offering access to essential resources and protection. Yet, legacy media, the United Nations, and organizations like Oxfam have launched a relentless campaign to undermine these efforts, revealing their troubling alignment with Hamas’s interests over the well-being of Gaza’s people.
Instead of supporting GHF’s efforts to empower Gazans, these groups have launched a vicious campaign of slander, falsely accusing the foundation of trying to starve the very people it seeks to help. Their baseless attacks reveal a disturbing alignment with Hamas’s interests, prioritizing propaganda over the well-being of Gaza’s civilians.
Steve Witkoff Finally Calls Out Hamas
The hapless Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, tasked with navigating the treacherous waters of ceasefire negotiations, has finally acknowledged the obvious: Hamas cannot be trusted. On July 24, 2025, Witkoff took to X to call out the terror group, stating, “Hamas does not appear to be coordinated or acting in good faith” and is acting in a “selfish way” after yet another round of failed talks. His candid assessment reflects the harsh reality that Hamas has no interest in peace, only in maintaining its brutal grip on power.
Witkoff’s statement also references a plan to “create a more stable environment for the people of Gaza”:
We have decided to bring our team home from Doha for consultations after the latest response from Hamas, which clearly shows a lack of desire to reach a ceasefire in Gaza. While the mediators have made a great effort, Hamas does not appear to be coordinated or acting in good faith. We will now consider alternative options to bring the hostages home and try to create a more stable environment for the people of Gaza. It is a shame that Hamas has acted in this selfish way. We are resolute in seeking an end to this conflict and a permanent peace in Gaza.
This plan, referred to as a “humanitarian city”, coupled with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and their efforts to bypass Hamas, could be Gaza’s only hope of getting rid of the terrorist organization once and for all.
Jeremy Scahill’s Vile Nazi Smear
This truth, however, was too much for far-left “journalist” Jeremy Scahill of Drop Site News. As an aside, Scahill was previously a founding editor of The Intercept (which was funded by eBay billionaire Pierre Omidyar). In July 2024, Jeremy Scahill left The Intercept and, together with Ryan Grim and Nausicaa Renner, founded Drop Site News – with funding by The Intercept.
In a despicable display of anti-Israel vitriol, Scahill responded to Witkoff in part by referring to the proposal for a “stable environment” as a “concentration camp”, echoing statements from other legacy media sources.
This vile Nazi analogy is not only an outrageous lie but a grotesque insult to the Jewish people, whose history of suffering under actual Nazi persecution makes such language particularly disgusting. The proposal for the humanitarian city, which is still in the very early stages, would be planned for the ruins of Rafah near Gaza’s border with Egypt, is designed to protect civilians by separating them from Hamas operatives, offering Gazans a safe haven where they can access aid without fear of Hamas’s violence.
Civilians would not be forced to relocate and could alternatively choose to leave Gaza entirely. The restrictions would be that they would be screened before entering, and would not be able to come and go from Hamas-controlled areas. This plan is a direct threat to Hamas’s control, which explains why Scahill and his allies in the legacy media are so desperate to vilify it.
Scahill’s Defense of a Terror Group
Scahill’s defense of Hamas went further, as he interviewed a “senior Hamas official” who accused Witkoff of “manipulation, deception, and evasion” and engaging in a “new round of blackmailing.” Scahill also shared Hamas’s self-serving “official response,” which laughably claimed the group has acted with “full national responsibility and high flexibility” and is “committed to reaching an agreement that halts the aggression and ends the suffering” of Gazans.

This is the same Hamas that has terrorized its own people, hoarded aid, and perpetuated violence against both Gazans and Israelis for years. Scahill’s willingness to amplify Hamas’s lies exposes his agenda: to shield a terror group while attacking those who seek to free Gazans from its tyranny.
A Path to Liberate Gaza
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, coupled with the humanitarian city proposal, offers the best chance to strip Hamas of its power. By providing a safe space where Gazans can access aid without Hamas’s interference, these efforts directly challenge the terror group’s ability to exploit and oppress. The vicious attacks from Scahill, legacy media, and their allies only confirm that they fear a Gaza free from Hamas’s control. In a time of war, where Gazans remain unsafe under Hamas’s rule, the world must rally behind GHF’s mission and reject the propaganda of those who would rather see Hamas thrive than Gazans liberated.
