A Democrat prosecutor in Colorado could be out of a job over news that her office planned to dismiss charges against a transgender pervert who allegedly attempted to kidnap an 11-year-old boy during a school recess.
Last April, 33-year-old Solomon Galligan was arrested after the incident at Black Forest Hills Elementary School in Aurora in which he allegedly tried to snatch the young boy after approaching a group of students.
After he was taken into custody, Galligan was given a mental competency examination, which he failed, being found incompetent to stand trial, leaving the DA’s office little choice but to dismiss the charges against the registered sex offender.
NEW: Registered s*x offender who tried kidnapping an 11-year-old boy during recess is set to walk free as prosecutors plan to drop the charges.

Outrage erupted after the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office told the Denver-based Fox News affiliate that they planned to “drop charges” against the disturbed man who, according to police, “appeared that this person attempted to grab a young boy.”
“Aurora police previously reported that Galligan is a registered sex offender, with his registration tied to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office,” Fox News reported.
At the center of the firestorm is District Attorney Amy Padden, who assumed office in January, winning her race after being backed by left-wing billionaire George Soros, making her the first Democrat to hold the office in over 60 years.
Padden’s office stated that they are “planning to drop charges against the defendant, which is required by law when they are found mentally incompetent to stand trial,” according to Fox 31.
Republican Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky told the New York Post that an “effort” to “recall” Padden “is well under way and will begin this week,” assuring the outlet that it will be a success.
“The conduct of the 18th DA over the past six months is beyond deplorable. This is simply the icing on the cake,” Jurinsky said.
“The progressive attitude will not be tolerated,” she added. “While certain state laws highlight deeper issues in the state of Colorado, Amy Padden will be recalled for her part in not upholding the laws and punishing criminals.”

“When a defendant is found mentally incompetent to proceed and is being civilly committed for mental health treatment, we are legally obligated to dismiss charges,” 18th Judicial District Attorney spokesperson Eric Ross said, according to Denver outlet 9 News.
Galligan will receive lenient treatment despite video footage that clearly shows him chasing a child and grabbing him while other students fled.
“It’s super scary to watch,” the parent of one child who encountered Galligan told Fox 31 at the time. “Especially seeing the perpetrator, the pictures of him. I would be freaked out if that guy touched me. It was an attempted kidnapping.”
The alleged kidnapper’s own family has acknowledged that he has serious issues.
“Every six months that we find him in the jail system, we’re happy he’s there, because then he’s not out on the streets,” his sister Sarah Galligan told 9 News last year.
“It just really sucks he had to do something so eye-catching for everybody to see he’s not well, and he’s not okay to be out and be on his own,” she added.
“So im starting my hormone shots and i relly cant wait im on my hormone pills ive been on them for almost 4 months i wake up all depressed and crying but in the end its gonna be totally worth it you know what io mean im really excited my measurements are already changing and im super thrilled,” Galligan said in a 2011 social media post announcing his transitioning, according to the New York Post.
“That same year, he was placed on the sex-offender registry after he was convicted of non-consent sexual contact,” the paper reported.
In a statement to the Post, the DA’s office said, “We have not yet filed the formal motion to dismiss.”
“We have until the end of the month to do so. The defendant is being civilly committed to mental health treatment. However, we are legally prohibited from discussing the details surrounding his competency beyond saying that he’s been found mentally incompetent to proceed,” the statement said, according to the outlet.
“When a defendant is found incompetent to proceed, we are legally obligated to dismiss charges. Our hands are tied based on the findings of competency. However, they are not being released to the public,” the DA’s office added.
