The Red-Green Alliance, or the merging of Marxist and Islamic agendas to undermine Western values, is alive and well in Texas. Congresswoman Julie Johnson exemplifies this covert agenda. A lesbian Democrat, Johnson claims to fight “extremism” while pandering to militant leftists and Islamic radicals in her own backyard. These are not fringe figures. They are, for example, the very operatives behind EPIC City, an Islamization project under state investigation led by Yasir Qadhi, one of the most notorious and dangerous Islamic leaders in the country.
Johnson, who parades herself as a warrior against “hate and divisiveness,” is a self-described “fierce defender” of “abortion healthcare,” an anti-ICE activist, and a politician who mocks “thoughts and prayers.” In reality, she has tied her career to the most divisive causes in America: promoting the taking of babies’ lives through abortion, pushing extreme queer/trans activism, demanding open borders, and now importing foreign Islamic grievances into Texas politics.
Julie Johnson is allied with far-left activists, Soros-funded networks, and Muslim leaders who openly call for violence against homosexuals. For Johnson, this isn’t about principle, consistency, or even protecting her own community. It’s about raw political power – this is the Red-Green Alliance in action.
Militant Endorsements
Julie Johnson has been endorsed by multiple far-left individuals and organizations. Gene Wu, who has deep ties to the Iran-linked National Iranian American Council, is one of her endorsers.
Notably, Gene Wu and Julie Johnson were among the Democrat legislators who fled Texas in a failed effort to deprive the state of a quorum for redistricting. Redistricting – the constitutionally required redrawing of political maps after each census – determines how congressional and legislative districts are shaped, and therefore who holds power.
By fleeing, Johnson and Wu – along with their Democrat colleagues – were attempting to thwart the vote on maps that would give Republicans more seats in Texas. This effort fit neatly into Barack Obama and his former Attorney General Eric Holder’s nationwide strategy to manipulate redistricting in order to lock Democrats into long-term power.
In August, Julie Johnson joined fellow left-wing activists, including Gene Wu, to “fight the Texas Takeover”. The “takeover” is a reference to the redistricting that the Democrats failed to stop in Texas. “Join me and other amazing leaders from across Texas for an organizing call to save our democracy!” Johnson posted on Facebook.
The Texas Organizing Project
One of the many troubling endorsements Johnson came in 2018 from the Texas Organizing Project (TOP), a group founded by former ACORN organizer Ginny Goldman. Building on the left’s racial obsession, TOP “organizes Black and Latino communities in Harris, Bexar, and Dallas counties with the goal of transforming Texas into a state where working people of color have the power and representation they deserve.” In reality, TOP functions as a hard-left political machine.

TOP is an “affiliate” of the Soros-funded Center for Popular Democracy. Houston Communist Party member Rev. James Caldwell is a prominent TOP leader and a fixture in Texas left politics.

TOP’s endorsement of Johnson aligns with their mission to create a “progressive beachhead” in Texas.
Queer Activism and Islamic Outreach
Perhaps one of Julie Johnson’s favorite causes, however, is her queer activism. “For me, Pride isn’t just a month on the calendar – it’s personal. It’s the reason I ran for office,” Johnson wrote at the Dallas Voice, the “Premier Media Source for LGBTQ Texas” in June this year.
As a co-chair of the powerful Congressional Equality Caucus, Johnson engages in queer/trans advocacy at the federal level and even around the globe. In fact, Johnson also co-chairs the “International LGBTQI+ Rights Task Force”, which “serve[s] as a central organizing point in Congress for advancing the human rights of LGBTQI+ around the world…” At taxpayers’ expense, Johnson champions the LGBTQ+ agenda, advancing its priorities on both national and global stages.
Pandering and Political Power
At first glance, queer activism and Islam appear irreconcilable – one claims to champion sexual freedom, while the other mandates death for homosexuality. In truth, both movements are driven not by principle but by raw ideology. They despise one another, yet unite when it offers political gain. This is the Red-Green Alliance in action. For Julie Johnson, it isn’t about empowering Muslims or defending LGBTQ activists. It’s about pandering to both camps to amass power and cement a radical agenda in Texas.

Julie Johnson Slams Reasonable Laws as ‘Devastating’
In June 2023, the local CBS affiliate interviewed Democratic Texas Reps Julie Johnson and Venton Jones. The gay Texas legislators trashed Republicans in the state for passing “unfair and discriminatory” legislation. The biased “news” report features only one side and does not push back on the clear misrepresentation of appropriate legislation.
Here is a brief summary of the bills Johnson and Jones portray as “devastating”:
- Senate Bill 12 (SB 12): This bill prohibits sexually oriented performances in public spaces where children are present or restricts such performances for those under 18.
- Senate Bill 14 (SB 14): Prohibits trans’ing children using medical procedures (e.g., surgeries, puberty blockers, hormone therapies) for minors under 18.
- Senate Bill 15 (SB 15): Requires public institutions of higher education to designate intercollegiate athletic teams based on biological sex.
The Senate Bills, safeguarding public spaces, children’s health, and fair competition, are all so reasonable that it is sad that they need to be bound as law.
But according to Julie Johnson, “the three that passed have devastating consequences to our community.” Johnson repeatedly targets the Republicans throughout the local news program, stating in part that their goal is to “discriminate and target the LGBT community.”
Watch the report here:
Julie Johnson’s vilification of Republicans for passing common-sense legislation like Senate Bills 12, 14, and 15 is strategic. The vitriol spewed, using loaded language, is designed to harm Republicans and help Democrats.
The LGBTQ+ Victory Fund and the Human Rights Campaign
Julie Johnson was also endorsed by the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund and their allied organization, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). Both organizations fund and promote LGBTQ+ democrat candidates for all levels of government.
The Bathroom Bill
The Washington, D.C.-based HRC famously pushed the “bathroom bill” legislation that swept the country in 2014. This legislation allowed transgender people to use bathrooms consistent with their so-called gender identity. The HRC accomplished the monumental effort by working with “grassroots” organizations to create bathroom bills locally.
The face of the bathroom bill effort was arguably then-Houston Mayor Annise Parker, an LGBTQ+ Victory Fund recipient. When pastors in Houston objected to the Houston legislation, Parker shockingly subpoenaed them for copies of their sermons.

The Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO) was passed by the Houston City Council on May 28, 2014. Opponents gathered over 50,000 signatures to challenge it. Legal disputes over petition validity led to a Texas Supreme Court ruling in July 2015, mandating the city to repeal HERO or hold a referendum. The city opted for a referendum. Leftist groups, including HRC, spent $2M in the attempt to get it approved. However, on November 3, 2015, Proposition 1 to keep HERO was defeated, with 61% voting against and 39% in favor, repealing the ordinance. No similar ordinance has been passed in Houston since.
Annise Parker served as CEO and President of the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund after leaving the Houston mayoralty in 2016.
Julie Johnson Celebrates Annise Parker
Julie Johnson honored Annise Parker at the House of Representatives around the time she resigned from the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund in March, 2025. “Annise Parker has been a trailblazer for the LGBTQ community across the nation,” Johnson wrote on Facebook on March 30. “Texas and our country are better because of Annise. I had the honor of recognizing her accomplishments on the floor of the House of Representatives this past week,” she continued.

Accused Pedophile Terry Bean, Victory Fund & HRC Co-Founder
One of the founders of both the Victory Fund and the HRC is accused pedophile Terry Bean.
Terry Bean was deeply enmeshed in Democratic politics. See him with Barack and Michelle Obama, on Air Force One, and with Bill and Hillary Clinton:

Bean was indicted for sodomy and sexual abuse of a 15-year-old boy in an Oregon hotel room in 2013. Alongside his then-lover Kiah Lawson, 24, Bean, 61, met the boy on the gay dating site Grindr. The Democrat bundler paid the victim “at least” $200,000 despite being warned not to tamper with the witness.
The victim only received about $5,000. His attorney, Lori Deveny, stole the rest and went to prison for that and other offences. Terry Bean’s former lawyer, Derek Ashton, was charged with Bean of a felony computer crime related to witness tampering.
In September 2019, a Lane County jury convicted Kiah Lawson after a three-day trial. The victim, then 21, testified that Lawson and Bean picked him up in Bean’s Mercedes. They drove him to the Valley River Inn motel and engaged in sexual acts.
During the trial, the victim said:
Both men should own up to the truth and quit blaming me for their sexual crimes. I was just a kid at the time. They took advantage of me and should be held accountable.
All charges against Terry Bean were ultimately dropped.
A second accuser also claimed that Bean engaged in sexual activity with him when he was 17 years old in 2013. That case was also dismissed.
It must be nice to have friends in high places.
Following these allegations, the “mega bundler for President Obama” was effectively erased from public recognition.
Before Terry Bean’s Erasure, He was a Star
See this short clip of former President Obama gushing over his “great friend and supporter, co-founder of HRC” Terry Bean:
Watch this tribute to Terry Bean featuring former Vice President Al Gore (time stamp 6:08):
Terry Bean is featured in the following Victory Fund promotional video, where he praises Annise Parker (2:21 time stamp):
Twenty years ago, when we founded Victory Fund, I don’t think we could have imagined that one of the largest cities in America, and the largest city in Texas of all places, would have a lesbian mayor. I have raised the coolness factor of Houston, and I’m happy about that. Seeing Annise Parker become mayor of the fourth-largest city was a rather remarkable thing, and it created so much hope for our community.
Neither the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) nor the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund has ever publicly denounced or condemned Terry Bean. No democrat has denounced or condemned Terry Bean in connection with his sex abuse allegations and legal proceedings.
Terry Bean may have been quietly cancelled, but Julie Johnson is celebrated.
In 2023, the HRC stated:
HRC has consistently endorsed Johnson since she launched her first campaign for Texas House in 2017, and has deployed on-the-ground staff across the Lone Star, supporting Johnson and other champions for equality.
Currently, Johnson serves Texas’s 32nd District, which covers parts of several counties in North Texas, centered around the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This region has one of the largest Islamic populations in the United States. It is, therefore, a very strategic target for the lesbian Representative who takes every opportunity to pander to the Muslims.
Pandering to Islam
ICNA Charity Event with Muslim Mayor
In August, the congressmember gave a shout-out to the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) in Richardson. “Now more than ever, we must support refugees who call Texas home, as well as the dedicated organizations stepping up every day to make a difference,” Johnson said on a Facebook post about the event.
Julie Johnson was joined by Mayor Amir Omar, a first-generation American of Palestinian-Iranian descent and the first Muslim elected official in North Texas.
In May, RAIR Foundation USA reported about ICNA’s Dallas event, “From Marxism to Islam: The Revolutionary Road of Allah”. The meeting was a strong example of the Red-Green Alliance, “where radical leftist movements and Islamic ideologies converge.”

Meeting with PakPAC – Johnson’s Alliance with Foreign Islamic Lobbyists
In April, Julie Johnson aligned herself with the Pakistani-American Public Affairs Committee (PakPAC). The group, which has been at the forefront of lobbying for the release of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan from prison, used the meeting to urge Johnson to support Khan’s release. Johnson obliged, and Khan’s chief of staff Shahbaz Gill publicly thanked her:
Thank you Julie Johnson for championing democracy & rule of law by calling for Imran Khan’s release!
But who is Imran Khan? Far from being a “pro-democracy” leader, Khan, a pro-socialist Sunni Muslim, has built his career on militant Islamic politics. He has vowed to impose global blasphemy laws, declaring:
The day will come when people in the West will think twice before disrespecting the Prophet.
Khan praised violent protests after French teacher Samuel Paty was beheaded for showing a Muhammad cartoon. And he rejects LGBTQ rights outright, siding with clerics who demand Sharia supremacy over Western law.
So Johnson wasn’t merely “listening to constituents.” She was siding with PakPAC and throwing her weight behind Imran Khan, a Sharia-adherent Islamic leader who openly threatens Western free speech, endorses violent blasphemy laws, and fuels Islam’s deadly hatred toward gays.
Yasir Qadhi Uses the PakPAC Platform to Shield EPIC City
At the very same meeting, Yasir Qadhi turned the spotlight on himself and the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC), using the PakPAC platform to push back against rising scrutiny of his mosque’s 402-acre EPIC City project—now under state investigation. He complained of “anti-Muslim rhetoric” against EPIC, and Julie Johnson echoed him almost word for word: “Let me be clear: Islamophobia is a coward’s weapon.” She then dismissed Governor Greg Abbott’s concerns as “baseless attacks.”
In light of the anti-Muslim rhetoric against our mosque and community, we visited Congresswoman @JulieJohnsonTX, who represents our district, to explain our efforts and community outreach. She told us that she had been following the issue, and that it was clear to her that this… https://t.co/ZV8iEMEPSt pic.twitter.com/y2ZWaz8TUP
— Dr. Yasir Qadhi (@YasirQadhi) April 29, 2025
Meanwhile, representatives tied to EPIC City including Community Capital Partners (CCP) were part of the orbit pitching and defending the project.
But Qadhi is no victim of prejudice. His record is staggering:
- Declared “Jews and Christians are filthy” and said their lives and property can be taken in jihad.
- Justified taking women as sex slaves in war.
- Bragged about Islam’s takeover of Sweden, calling high birthrates a “halal secret weapon.”
- Raised funds for Hamas-linked charities.
- Placed on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s terrorist watch list.
- Saudi-trained at the Islamic University of Medina; promotes Sharia supremacy over Western law.
- Denied the Holocaust, pushing The Hoax of the Holocaust and claiming “Hitler never intended to mass-destroy the Jews.”
- Quoted the antisemitic forgery Protocols of the Elders of Zion to argue Jews have no right to Israel.
- Calls the U.S. a “Pharonic society” built on slavery and supports replacing democracy with Sharia.
- Acolyte of Ali al-Timimi, the Virginia imam now serving life for inciting jihad against U.S. troops. Fundraised for Aafia Siddiqui, who is often referred to as “Lady Al-Qaeda”.
- Partners with a U.S.-barred Brotherhood operative to groom Islamic youth cadres at conferences hosted in multiple Islamic nations
- Called for executing homosexuals, stating: “His punishment is death… If we had an Islamic state, we would do this.”

Weaponizing Children for the Cause
At a recent EPIC-hosted fundraiser for QCA schools, Qadhi’s network showcased young children in Sharia-adherent dress (girls in required hijabs) and full Palestinian nationalist attire. Each grade performed presentations steeped in anti-Israel messaging, including chants of “From the River to the Sea” – Hamas’s genocidal slogan for the eradication of Israel. Classroom maps labeled only “Palestine” erased Israel entirely. This is radical indoctrination packaged as education.
Qadhi’s own Base is Openly Extreme
After boasting he’d secured Julie Johnson’s support for EPIC City, Qadhi complained to his community that “backlash from within our own community begins. Sheh, can you stand next to a non-hijabi lady in a picture?”
His followers are so radical that a photo beside a female politician without a headscarf triggers outrage – yet they tolerate their imam embracing a lesbian politician who pushes radical transgender ideology onto their children.
That is the Red–Green Hypocrisy in Plain View
Qadhi’s camp rages over uncovered hair while partnering with a politician who embodies everything they claim to oppose. Johnson, for her part, smears Texans as “Islamophobic” for questioning a project whose architect preaches Sharia supremacy and the execution of homosexuals. For both, this isn’t about principle, it’s about power.
More Pakistan Pandering: Turning a Dallas Stage into PTI Outreach
On January 25, 2025, Julie Johnson headlined a Dallas event hosted by the Center of Excellence for Community Services (CECS). The full program later appeared on the official YouTube channel of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) – Imran Khan’s party – signaling exactly who this gathering was designed to energize.

Speakers framed the night around PTI talking points: the November 26–27, 2024 crackdown on PTI protesters, “rigged” elections, and media censorship, capped with calls for the Pakistani-American diaspora and U.S. policymakers to “assist.”
This was political mobilization for a foreign party’s agenda on U.S. soil.
The speaker slate reinforced the tilt. Figures like Ryan Grim (ex-Intercept, now co-founder of Drop Site News) helped drive an anti-U.S./anti-West narrative. The discussion singled out former Secretary of State Antony Blinken by name, accusing him of complicity in coups and backing dictators – tossing around charges like “crimes against humanity” and “fascist state” to stoke outrage.
Johnson used the platform to showcase her clout on the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Central & South Asia. She explicitly invited attendees to route policy ideas to her office – noting that her “chief director,” Sarah Slamen, was present to collect them. Slamen is an uncompromising far-left abortion activist best known for a 2013 viral tirade – on hand to gather policy asks from the crowd.
Johnson to Pakistani Attendees: ‘I am Here to be Your Partner in Government’
During Julie Johnson’s speech, she states:
For the last two years, you’ve been a beacon, supporting families with special needs children, victims of domestic violence, and those facing hateful anti-immigrant rhetoric….I’m proud to share that I’ve been appointed to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, specifically the Subcommittee on Central and South Asia. I need your guidance, input, and counsel to understand the ever-changing geopolitical dynamics and to foster legislation benefiting all, especially your communities. Your lived experiences are invaluable, and I seek your collaboration. Please reach out to my office—my chief director, Sarah Slamen, is here to hear your brilliant ideas to improve human rights for all.
Julie Johnson doubles down on this sentiment in the rest of her speech. She declares:
Let me be clear: I am here to be your partner in government. We want to introduce policies and amendments directly from constituents in Texas District 32.
Johnson assures the audience:
My door is always open, and my commitment is unwavering. Together, we’ll ensure every voice is heard, and everyone knows their power in government. We’ll build a future where all families, regardless of background, can succeed and feel secure…I look forward to working with you in the months and years ahead to build a stronger, more inclusive, and just America…
Why this matters: The Dallas appearance dovetails perfectly with Johnson’s stance at the PakPAC meeting. There, she publicly backed Imran Khan’s release; here, she courted PTI’s U.S. network while advertising her committee leverage over Pakistan policy. It’s the same pattern: import a foreign Islamic movement’s grievances into Texas politics, launder it through “human rights,” and then offer congressional access to carry the ball downfield.
Bottom line: Johnson didn’t just “listen.” She amplified PTI’s messaging, legitimized its U.S. ecosystem, and invited it into her legislative shop — a textbook example of the Red-Green Alliance using American institutions to advance a foreign, Islamic-aligned agenda.
Julie Johnson’s ‘Chief Director’ Sarah Slamen
Julie Johnson’s “Chief Director” Sarah Slamen is a rabid leftist and pro-abortion activist. In 2013, Slamen gained notoriety for an unhinged rant aimed at the Texas legislature. Her testimony was against another piece of common-sense legislation known as Senate Bill 1 (SB1). Former Texas State Senator Wendy Davis famously led opposition to the same legislation through an 11-hour filibuster.
SB1 limited abortions after 20 weeks, required abortion clinics to meet ambulatory surgical center standards, and mandated that providers have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital. This made pro-abortion activists very angry.
Watch her short viral rant here, where she was ultimately removed by security:
In early 2016, Slamen served as State Coordinator for Bernie Sanders’ socialist presidential campaign in Louisiana. Anti-communist activist Trevor Loudon has documented Sarah Slamen’s ties to to Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) events for the North Texas and Houston chapters.
Julie Johnson’s staff member is a reflection of her own militant activism.
Summary
Texas Representative Julie Johnson, a lesbian congresswoman, campaigns against what she calls an “extremist agenda” of hate and divisiveness, yet her own affiliations and activism reveal deep involvement in polarizing issues.
A fierce advocate for abortion and an opponent of ICE, Johnson has garnered endorsements from far-left groups like the Texas Organizing Project, linked to the Soros-funded Center for Popular Democracy and the Communist Party USA, as well as the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund and Human Rights Campaign, both deeply tied to accused pedophile Terry Bean.
Her queer activism, including leadership in the Congressional Equality Caucus and the International LGBTQI+ Rights Task Force, intersects with her outreach to Islamic communities, such as attending events at the Islamic Circle of North America and a mosque led by Imam Yasir Qadhi, despite his extreme views. Johnson’s alliances, from pandering to the Pakistani-American community to supporting controversial political actors such as former Houston Mayor Annise Parker, reflect a pursuit of political power through the Red-Green Alliance, prioritizing influence over ideological consistency.
