Eric Trump has addressed the ‘twisted’ rumors surrounding his father’s health.
After commentators and pundits swirled false stories last week that President Donald Trump had not been seen in four days, speculation grew that he might be in bad health.
However, Trump was spotted leaving the White House on Sunday and Monday morning to play golf at his Northern Virginia country club, which he’s visited 21 times during his second term so far.
‘The radical left is so sick and twisted…’ Eric Trump told his followers on X, responding to a false suggestion the president had passed away.
The president himself even dispelled these rumors while playing golf over the weekend by claiming he’s ‘never felt better.’
The president also bragged about the effectiveness of his crime crackdown in Washington, DC.
‘DC is a crime free zone!’ Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Political consultant Fred Wellman criticized the White House for allegedly misleading the public with a week-old golf photo meant to disprove health rumors, calling it ‘insane’ and accusing the president of lying about his activities.
The 79-year-old has had health come under scrutiny lately after he was seen with dark bruising on his hand during press gaggles in the Oval Office.
In recent months, swelling to the president’s ankles have also been noticeable during public appearances.
The White House said in July that the president had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a vein condition that causes swelling to the lower legs.
Moreover, White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella said Trump’s condition was a ‘benign and common’ in a July memo.
He explained that bruising on Trump’s hand was ‘consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking’ along with the president’s use of aspirin as treatment.
