From the Great Beyond to the Great Lakes: UFOs Flock to Michigan Skies

Michigan residents have reportedly clocked 36 UFO sightings so far in 2025 according to Yahoo News. That’s three dozen possible alien visitors crossing planetary frontiers to drop in on Michiganders like unwelcome summer relatives.

The UFO reports come out of the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) which has believers describing a “warp speed craft” in Scotts, “Large pink and red cigar floating in the sky” in Ann Arbor and a “Tic tac sighting” in Greenville.

According to NUFORC, Michigan ranks 10th in the U.S. for reports of “unidentified aerial phenomena.” Since 1936, the state has had 3,794 sightings.

There are probably more though, as not everyone reports their sightings to NUFORC. That’s because they probably don’t want to “admit” to seeing possible alien life in their own backyard. If they do, Michigan’s Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer might slap a green energy tax on their tinfoil hats and declare the UFO a climate-friendly transportation pilot program.

Questions remain about the “UFO” sightings from people who are skeptical about alien life. Are these extraterrestrials on a summer tour of motels and lakeshores – or are people seeing reflective debris from satellites and drones and secret government projects?

At the end of the day, Michigan’s skies are apparently more active than Governor Whitmer’s road construction schedule. So grab your cell phones, keep your eyes skyward, and remember: snap a photo, call NUFORC, and maybe keep it off Facebook – unless you want Uncle Bob camping in your backyard “just in case they come back.”
