Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has ordered police not to cooperate with federal law enforcement and National Guard troops if President Donald J. Trump dispatches them to clean up his crime-ridden city.
On Saturday, the Windy City Democrat signed an executive order bearing the Orwellian title of “Protecting Chicago” as he prepares to resist the potential surge of federal personnel, which could start as early as this week, according to some reports.
“We find ourselves in a position where we must take immediate, drastic action to protect our people from federal overreach,” Johnson said at a press conference.
We can’t perfectly predict how an erratic and impulsive administration will act, so I am signing an executive order that directs all of our City’s departments to protect Chicagoans and not collaborate with federal overreach.https://t.co/rKq508a69G

“We do not have the luxury of time,” Hizzoner said, adding. “We have received credible reports that we have days, not weeks, before our city sees some type of militarized activity by the federal government. It is unclear at this time what that will look like exactly.”
The former teacher’s union organizer touted the order as a blueprint on “how we can stand up against this tyranny,” hyperbolic rhetoric that is unbecoming of an elected city leader whose deference to thugs has put Chicago residents in danger.
“We do not want to see tanks in our streets. You do not want to see families ripped apart. You do not want grandmothers thrown into the back of unmarked vans,” he said.
Democrats are in a state of sheer panic after Trump’s federalization of Washington, D.C., which has been so successful in clamping down on crime that it could soon be expanded to other cities under the party’s control where vicious thugs and serial predators have been emboldened by criminal-coddling politicians and allowed to operate with impunity by Soros-backed district attorneys.
“This order affirms that the Chicago Police Department will not collaborate with military personnel on police patrols or civil immigration enforcement. We will not have our police officers, who are working hard every single day to drive down crime, deputized to do traffic stops and checkpoints for the president,” the racist Democrat mayor also said.
But as Johnson digs in to resist, there are daily shootings, and the bodies are continuing to pile up over the long Labor Day holiday weekend.
According to the Chicago Police, 43 people have been shot so far this weekend, with 7 being sent to the morgue, a toll that shows why the federal intervention is so badly needed to do the job that Johnson and the state’s “slob” Governor JB Pritzker refuse to.
ABC7 Chicago is reporting that the body count includes a woman who was “shot and killed in a South Shore apartment,” a man who was shot by an occupant in a dark SUV that pulled up on Saturday, and a woman who “was approached by five male suspects and they started to shoot at her.”
Police are also investigating a dead body that was fished out of Lake Michigan on Saturday as a homicide, according to the outlet.

“CRIME IS TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL IN CHICAGO. 6 DEAD, 24 BADLY WOUNDED, LAST WEEK ALONE!!!” Trump wrote in a Sunday post to Truth Social.
Last week, Mayor Johnson described the jailing of criminals as “racist,” “immoral,” and “unholy” during a diatribe against Trump’s looming move to protect Chicagoans, a duty that should belong to him.
Johnson has also threatened to unleash rioting if the president sends in the National Guard, and has a history of making anti-white racist comments, including that Trump has “always been intimidated by the intellectual prowess of black men.”
